  1. I'd cut the whole damn fender off regardless of pipe. Oh wait, I already did cut my fenders off....
  2. Can you say........ SEARCH Seriously, type in "pipes" or "exhaust" or "fmf" or "toomey" and so on till your heart's content and there'll be a years worth of reading.
  3. You want a Nickel bag, a 20 bag, maybe a 1/2 ounce or even a full ounce, well, they'll have what you need. The Hemp Joint
  4. Great to hear CT, jetting can really twist your mind sometimes....
  5. There is NO reason to change the heat range of the plugs... UNLESS your JETTING tells you so. With that, there is typically no need to change the heat range with the typical mods. So, stick with the 8's. As was said, plugs will NOT make your machine run hot. Are you saying that it's spewing some and just getting hot overall? That is jetting, or water pump failing, or clog in the rad, but not your plugs. Stick with the 8's and find the real solution to your problem. Just for FYI, if it's running hot and you were to put some 9's in there, it wouldn't change a thing anyway.
  6. Well bigboy, I'll be resuming this after I get back from ......... drumroll..... ALASKA!! I'm leaving at 6am and won't get back until next Saturday. I've really had no time to mess with it cause we've been so busy getting things covered before we leave. Thanks for the help and i"ll holler when I get back. Scott
  7. I got sidetracked with Stevie's boobie pics....
  8. Mikuni Flatslides are the choice of serious tuners. They have more flexibility in jets and tuning. The 34mm would be a perfect setup for you. Oh, and by they way, I have some for sale, see my sig...
  9. It's possible. Can you elaborate on the "runs like $hit" comment? Is it flat bogging, sputtering like crazy or what? What's your elevation, airbox setup? Scott
  10. My little problem reared it's ugly head again this weekend.... so, it's not fixed yet.
  11. Got it, thanks. Scott
  12. I'm 2 hours south of OKC and I'm almost considering it. I have a fairly nice 02 banshee. Motor is on it's first overbore and has just a few hours, maybe 5. It also has a mild wood port, T5's and Paul Turner Midrange pieps. Single carb intake. I'm having issues getting the single carb jetted, only had it on for a week, but I also have the stock carbs/intake and a pair of 34mm Mikuni's if you want the baby to run. The frame has been freshly gussetted and PC'ed. It also has a Coolhead on it. Barely used paddles on some light .125 wheels that have been dented, but still work good. It has a PRM front bumper and grab bar. It's a great machine, super strong and has never let me down. Maybe send me some pics to [email protected]. Scott
  13. Nitrogen shocks are the ONLY way to go. I put nice Rancho 9000x shocks on my truck, and paid a lot for them. They're hydraulic shocks. Over time, I got sick of the bucking the truck was doing, so I called a shop that specializes in my truck, SuperdutyHeadquarters.com. They hooked me up with some Nitrogen charged Donahoe Racing shocks and dammit if they didn't make the ride night and day different. The Rancho's have no pressure (you compress them and they don't open back up on they're own, they rely on the springs) and that creates a lot of issues. The Nitrogen has some decent pressure, you compress them, and they'll expand back out quickly, in fact, it took two hands to compress and hold them so I could get the mount bolt in there. They are a lot better and only about $89 a shock. The guy at SDHQ said the only thing better is Fox Racing shocks w/reservoirs, but he also said they'd only be needed if I was racing off road all the time. Don't waste your money with anything else, get Nitrogen shocks the first time. They don't make Donahoe's for anything except Ford and Toyota trucks. But, look around and make sure you find Nitrogen pressurized shocks valved for YOUR truck. Scott
  14. I actually have a Coolhead on mine, but if I did it over again, I would've gotten the Noss. I didn't know about the Noss stuff when I bought mine. The Noss head flows much better than the Coolhead, so there is an advantage other than color. Also, I've dealt with Dave (dlnoss) on a few occasions and he is a 100% standup guy. I promise you won't get the service from anyone else and you sure as hell won't talk to the guy who actually makes them anywhere else. Scott
  15. I'd rather pay another $25 for a brand new one. You wanna come down to $75 or so and then maybe we'll talk. Scott
  16. Haven't heard from him in awhile either. Scott
  17. I'm putting together a chart that lists pipe info. What I'm after is how which pipe makes it's power. I'm not real familiar with the powerband of the followng compared to say.. T5's. Graydon LRD Trinity Would these pipes be considered all-arounnd pipes, or mid-to-top pipes? I know the LRD is adjustable, so that would lead me to believe that it'd be more of an all-around. Bill's pipes, would you consider it to be a torque pipe like the PT mids or more of an all-around like the fatties and pro circuits. I'll inquire some more, but this should help for the moment. Scott
  18. Thanks. Yea, Ricky Stator is $125 and the stuff on ebay is around $125 to $130. Your right, I was just thinking maybe someone around here has one laying around they need to get rid of. I may be better off going with the Ricky Stator unit for reliability alone. We'll see. Thanks, appreciate the input. Scott
  19. Yea, me neither, hell I really dunno, just pissy I guess. Maybe the rings weren't seated real well from sitting and heating her up some let them expand and reseat or something.... who knows. I need to go ride the piss out of it. Only thing, those damned T5's are the loudest sunsabitches around. Holy crap. I was flying around on it the other day, and scared the living hell out of the horses with it Sent them into a stampede across the pasture, kinda funny tho. I'll go run her some more today and then tomorrow I'm going to the track with the Honda and Banshee, double the riding....
  20. For $150, I'll see if I can find you a damned cable.... If I can, I'll throw it in.
  21. your not talking about those cv flatslides for $125 are you? those are for like a gsx or kawi or something. The 34mm TM Flatslides generally run about $125 each on ebay. They're $134 each new from Pro-flo.com.
  22. Maybe it uses a honda-style slide or something.
  23. Maybe some 38's will work best. I'm not a drag man, so I really don't know. Why'd I even post here....
  24. Hell, I never gap my plugs, guess I should, but never have. I pull the BR8's out of the box and throw them in, and they've always worked perfectly...
