  1. i'm hoping it's just because it sits for a few weeks or more at a time over the winter. when i first start it, the clutch doesn't work until i run it for a little. i'll poke around in 1st or 2nd for a few minutes, then the clutch works fine again. but what would cause it to do that? i've never had that problem before if it set for a while. my tusk clutch kit is about 2 yrs old, with a new hinson basket and new stock inner hub, p-plate, rod, ball, etc.
  2. i just watched 'the best in the desert, AVI'. they had a rhino class and those things were beasts!! i've never seen any ute built for racing like that before. is that the new rage out there or what? they only showed 1 shee during the whole show too. that's kind of sad it seemed their main focus was on the rhino class.
  3. :yelrotflmao: you've had a rough day haven't you?? :yelrotflmao: one of the biggest chains here in pa is 'Sheetz' and that's where i always go. i hope they never go to any of this kind of bs.
  4. we don't have to prepay here, but i still use my debit card all the time rather than running in the store to pay. especially if it saves me from pulling 2 kids from the car seats, hauling them in and back and then back in their seats. the cards make it 10x easier and we haven't had any issues with them yet. i rarely have cash on me since we have the cards.
  5. here's another pair i was considering. they are basically what i'm looking for, being waterproof, but for $180 at RMATV by the way, thanks for all the replies guys, keep them coming...
  6. ok, i figured that's what it meant, and i'll probably go with the free ride pants. something in a universal color though, like black so i can wear whatever jersey and not look like a tard. but my main concern is keeping dry too.
  7. i'd have to say to go with the DMP set, but maybe that's just because i just put mine on last night. i'm not so sure about the color match up on yours though, but the one you picked would be the closest match.
  8. if you have access to an impact gun, that's the way to go to break it loose. to tighten it, i put a rag in the gears, which worked great.
  9. a little extension... loose as a goose that's been f****d by a moose i think i got my seat bumpers from UPP racing about 2 yrs or more ago, and they haven't fallen out yet. i'm gonna try tightening up the catch though since it's a little loose again. great info.
  10. not cool bud, not cool at all :shoothead:
  11. i would suggest ALWAYS replacing any gasket / seals when you tear something down and put it together again. it's just cheap insurance.
  12. what exactly does that mean?
  13. congrat's bud  kids are the greatest. my girl is almost 5, and my boy is 16 mo. trying to talk the wife into another one too, lol. one lesson you'll learn though... the shee just got moved into #2 priority
  14. yeah, thanks wes. apparrantly the chic in your sig prefers to go commando :woot:
  15. i know that having a 'new' ride can be sweet, but who's going to buy a new shee and leave it all stock anyway? wouldn't you be better off to just get a used one and build it up how you want it, probably for about the same cost as a new one, than going thru all the BS of importing one? i'm sure you could order '08 colors and graphics if that's all your after and put them on your built shee. just a thought...
  16. that sucks bud! i hate to see them go too, but it was kind of hard to actually read your posts without being distracted :yelrotflmao: my shee - bounce - had the same - bounce bounce - problem- bounce bounce bounce - here's what i did - bounce bounce bounce bounce - to fix it - bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce........... i don't think it was that big of a deal though. no nakedness or anything. boobs bounce, we see it every day, lol.
  17. i'm debating over what kind of pants to get for riding this summer. mainly i'm looking at thor 'Ride' pants, or the 'phase' pants. i ride mostly trails, and places where you most likely will get wet and muddy, so i was leaning toward the ride pants. but i've never had a pair of mx pants either. which style would you get and why??
  18. yeah, that's what i run too. they seem to be great in the trails. packed or muddy trails, they hook up great. the only place i don't like them is in wet grass in the yard, they do slip pretty bad then, but it's a shee on wet grass, what else would grab any better??
  19. there are riding pants out there with leather reinforcements on the inner leg just for that reason, fox - thor - etc. bud, i can't believe you ride in shorts and flip flops hey you could always get different pipes if they are that bad for you.
  20. i thought about that too. and if you see fluid leaking somewhere, there's a chance you may be sucking air in there also. but you should see air coming out if you've bled it over and over. what about the set screw located near the pivot point of your lever that pushes the piston on the res, how is it adjusted? maybe you have a bad caliper.
  21. hey ben, welcome to the site. i hope that pic of the bike with the funeral home sign isn't an indication of your future  kind of a bad omen ya know. just messin with ya bud, it looks like a cool ride.
  22. ditto...
  23. well, we're back to having several inches of snow again. one week of decent weather and suddenly everyone forgets how to drive on snowy roads already. my scanner in my office at work was nuts today, one crash after another all day long. it's funny though, you guys joke about us having snow, and i've never seen a dune or a palm tree, lol. :yelrotflmao:
  24. yep, it was a long awaited warm day here in central pa, which means that i got to spend the day OUTSIDE cleaning up and reorganizing our storage lot at work today. of course, listening to street bikes, quads, etc enjoying themselves while i was at work all day. ::
  25. i've always used mothers polish on my pc pipes. if you're like me and ride in mud and muck a lot, it's hard to keep them shining all the time. it's no easy, quick fix, but mothers and some elbow grease will clean them up fine. i've heard using a sos pad will take any rough stuff off before polishing, but i'd be concerned with more scratching also.
