  1. i gotta go with jim here......i have the trinity shit...just get a trinity sticker....have passion build your motor and stick those other 5g's into your chassis and suspension........guys think their bikes are fast until the get to 50 yards of whoops or are faced with a 60 footer thats do or die...and every straight is off camber..you take NYUK's dragster for example, he would totally smoke me in a 100 yard dash (and i have close to his horse power) but on a mx track id just blow his doors off and then probally come pick his broken ass up off the track, take him to the emergency room and then buy him a beer......85 ponies is real fuckin hard to hang onto when your not going straight on flat ground......you need to think about hangin on ....ill bet right now you cant hold it pinned over some whoops, 3 feet apart, lined up for as far as the eye can see, 100 yards into them youd either shut down or fill yer leathers with shit.....practice hanging on to that bitch......my fastest times come from endurance and timing.....my motor just pulls me away from bikes that have crept up on me when ive relaxed..........
  2. you will be impressed.........jims the man......
  3. hesperia california...500.000 acres of open desert, just zip out of my driveway and out into the valley......
  4. put your 17 on.....try to put your stock cover back on....you'll see exactly what needs to be trimmed
  5. be safe screamin.....6 weeks goes by pretty quick.....
  6. im with meat....i use a tsubaki oem chain, its light was 24 bucks, coasts way better than an o-ring chain....besides spraying shit on the outside of an o-ring chain doesnt do a lot of good, i used to soak my oring in 30 weight, then hang them up and wipe them dry, works great with any chain since spraying shit on the outside just attracks dirt soaking the chain gets the lube between the pins and links where you need it, then it appears to be dry but is well lubed, kinda like it was when you got it new
  7. if your running the stock cover you for sure have to notch the cover a bit......
  8. im the first one to bail if need be......i may spend cash on replacement parts, but broken limbs arnt cheap either.....
  9. your bike will sit an inch lower....the stock shocks will be a little less harsh.......
  10. i was thinking of running the all thread through the whole frame to the otherside peg for the rear mount or welding it in so it wont spin........how did you get a bolt inside it?
  11. My left rear peg bolt is stripped.......should i .....A: drill it out and retapp the thread and just wait for the shitty soft rusty frame to give way again or....B: get a peice of "all thread" and weld it in then instead of having a bolt go into the frame have 3/4 inches of thread stick out of the frame? install the peg and use a nut instead of a bolt that screws into the frame.........or run a peice of all thread through the entire frame and do both sides at once.........every time i have removed my peg bolts i have pumped bearing grease into the chassis and smeared the bolts threads and they still rust........its a shame our frames fill with moisture..........
  12. i wasnt but maybe you will be....i would go with the doubles.....one of the problems i found with works is that they use the same spring gage for all there shocks but change the preload for ride height, so if your a heaver guy you crank the preload only problem with that is the shock body only has so much travel if you crank the preload down you take from that travel, if all you do is land perfect the stock shocks would be fine....for mx you'll need a a shock that will follow the track, keep your front end planted, absorb most of the rough stuff and allow you to stay in your line a shock like the elka ssd's allow for a lower ride height making your bike a slot car on the track yet still soaking up the obsticles, i feestyle jump i call it long jumping cause im not into the supermans and knack knack shit but doing a 90 footer is doing a 90 footer, if your short or long it doesnt matter who made your shocks, your health care provider comes into play there, in theory a tripple is softer on top yet stiffer on the bottom than a double, but again the body is not long enough to utilize that concept so you end up with a soft upper ride but not enough spring for the harder hits..........look at your favorite pro mx rider if he has works shocks go with those.......if not rethink your purchase and go with something you can at least set the rebound on...you'll find you need that on the track, and for jumping
  13. i allways wipe mine out with wd-40 it does work good
  14. for sand go to dumont dunes, 30 miles west of baker california, how would we know if you need to rejet?...for riding sand just gas it and hang on......
  15. i have a set of works doubles on one of my bikes before that i had the works tripples on that bike...i have a mx shee that ive ran ohlins customs all the way around on and now elka full race ssd's......the elka is a great shock, the ride height is tits, you can slam them into berms, long jump them, your tires stick to the track like glue.....i cant say one of those things about my works shocks....they chatter over bumps, bottom at the drop of a hat, but compared to stock are better.........
  16. save 15 bucks to gear it taller, you need taller gearing to completly smoke the thumpers.....
  17. audio guru and all around asshole......
  18. oh i think we all love to laugh...thats why we tore you such a new ass for saying your bansh does a buck twenty........oh and even if we think your a moron we will still help you with your bike..because bottom line its all about banshee's
  19. shit it looks like Tithead is comeing around after all.......what most of us know about draggin and what it takes to pull over 100mph times......NYUK forgot......
  20. what if you just dont stop drinkin, puke if you must but then consume, consume, consume......
  21. im obviously full of shit raxen.....if my bike could do 110 last thing id probally wanne do is grab the front brakes....but thay are fun at 20 mph
  22. thats what im talking about..you go out shoot a deer.your family eats for a while and that kinda shit, but for fun to go out and lay 300 yards away from an animal while its eating or hunting for its young is bullshit......if someones killing lions for sport, he should come up and slap that big fucker upside the head, and call him out, that would be sport, the lion wouldlt need to lay back 300 yards...drop the rifle, the lion could find your ass and completly f*ck your day with one punch..........i say leave the big fucker alone completly......
  23. oh shit....stoppies huh why didnt you say so......110mph slam the fronts on and stand one for a 1000 feet...........
  24. i raced a piped cammed raptor yesterday, got a squirlly start and he beat me, he turned around and pinned it comeing back and was 100 feet away and i jumped on it again and not only caught him but passed him and got back to where we started from 50 feet before him......lots of shit comes into play when dragging.....is his bike faster than mine?
  25. somebody makes an adaptor that will bring that stock stem up and shock mount the bars....i know its not the same as an lsr stem but you can replace the stocker pretty easy i know i paid 350 for my lsr stem, damm there shit isnt cheap......
