on a dyno my old motor gained 8hp from going from rockets to shearers. on that particular setup, not all are probably going to be that way. basic comparsion. rockets are big, will or can burn your legs. rocket chrome was very nice. i cut my silencers down about 2 inchs, other cut more off. were pretty long imo. had to run special clamps cause the tubes were like 1 1/8in most clamp arent that big. shearers plumbing run over the airbox so it hard or almost impossible to run an air box. shearers are far from being quiet. so if noise is an issue well good luck. shearers chrome is ok. never had a set of cpi. :shrug: :shrug:

only thing i can say is you better learn from RNBRAD. he is the guru of the arcade. i think he is offering tutorings for like 30 an hr or something.

yep im crushed beyond its unbearable. but it was my bike with me on it.

my suggestion find a new track there is no way your ever going to hook up on loose rocks or gravel. find a pasture work the ground up, make it dirt if you want put some sand into it to make it hook up better. i mean you could have a mean ass bike but your not going to hookup on that type of surface.

my brother in laws ran good with a 55 pilot, 5th clip with whatever needle it had and 150 mains. those needles are impossible to cross reference. dont knwo if they are rich or lean. at 1000ft.

does it run right. if so i would say yeah. just cause someone runs this or that doesnt mean it works for everyone. listen to your bike. and the numbers you gave sound like it should work. my guess.

might need a thinner needle like a DEK YOU said it was mid to upper rpm range.

you need the round like 3inch in diameter or 4 cylinder k/n with angled mounts. that one you have is way too big for 2 carbs not enough room i would think.

just cause a kit says to run this and that doesnt make it correct. you have to adjust to your bike. i bet your lean on top for sure put some 300 -310 and try it look at the plug.

i wouldnt go less then 10 paddles. worked on my stock bike work good on my stroker. 20 10 8 10 would be good or some 21 12 8 10 better. which i have a set for sell.

blueing is from getting hot usually a sign of lean

300 - 320 mains would be good start.

i tried to use mine with propane my work and play i couldnt get it to work. its screwy i dont know why or how. you click it till a guage was in the green and its lite. i was told it uses a lot of propane. i might have to call the dealer and find out more info. i try to freeze mine the day before and then drive to the spot and its somewhat cool. sorry for the no info but.
