  1. ok if it make then shift better than what is so wrong with them. yeah i know a thick oil will hold up better but come on. with 10 w 40 i was missing shifts, hell some times it wouldnt go into gear. it was actually a pain to shift adn if you speed shifted like drag please it sucked. after using the bel ray, it is nice like it was when stock. i am probably wrong but if its a bitch to shift adn whatnot with reg oil then using bel ray or tranny fluid helps then i guess im lost. i know toomey been around and is probably correct but it was a bitch to shift with reg oil my 2 cents
  2. dont know if this will help you. i had a bitch of bog and couldnt get the jetting corrrect. well i run pro design foam with an outerwear and what happened was the oil plugged up the wear so bad that it wouldnt get air. i doubt this is your problem. what pilots and needle you using. position
  3. i run my needle in the 4th groove with my toomeys
  4. i use bel ray gear saver 75w i believe. it works 100 times better than 10 40 castrol, with that it would shift worth a damn. gear saver made it smooth, and way better. thing about it looks, smells like auto tranny fluid. so like bdbanshee claims type f would work. and isnt 6 bucks a liter like gear saver

  6. my question if you are using the outerwear are you using both foam or just the small one and the outerwear. also what oil is everyone putting on the foam later
  7. if trail riding at the dunes is what you are after then i would suggest the z400 only because it has reverse. its a fun bike rides nice and torquey. the 450 i have no clue havent rode one i bet i would do fine but the reverse is nice when you need it.
  8. well what i meant was cleaning the air filter, the sand off the engine, plastic, chain and what not i figured it out and im pretty stupid for what was wrong. i was thinking about what i did when i got back. i cleaned the bike, carbs, and air filter. basically what happened was when i reoil the foam filter with this yahama filter oil, which is some sticky ass shit. and i put the outerwear on over the foam one like normal. when the wear got really oil and actually wouldnt let air flow. i removed it adn ran it with just the foam one and damn thing was alive. weird stuff that i didnt think would f*ck stuff up but it did. so now if i got to the dunes again i will run the wear but till then im not later thanks for all the help

I DONT have any tors they are removed. what gets me is i put the plate on at the dunes with bdbanshee who sold it to me. it ran good. i got back and cleaned the sand out of everything and took it for a ride a week later and noticed at wot it isnt right. you think with 5 deg of timing and 20 domes which gave me 150 psi when i put them on is too much for 91 gas which is the best i can get in ks
  10. my combo is t5 with v force reeds. air filter with out lid. head with 20. timing plate at 4-5, lighten wheel. what is killing me is that it ran like a top with 340 in but after the plate and wheel, and the weather change it has dropped like 30 degrees so i thought it would be needing a size bigger also after do a plug chop with 340 the plugs were clear like brand new so i thought i wouldnt hurt. also needle in the 4th pos
  11. ok heres the deal my bike has no top end now. after put a timing plate, i was checking jetting now if i hold it wide open if falls on its ass.but at any other throttle position it runs great. i have 340 in now plan on trying 360 but am having doubt that is the problem . i did pull the chock out and didnt notice any thing. thanks for the help i live about 1000ft,

  15. mid american motorsports in wichita charge me 3 bucks a jet so 6 for 2 which i didnt think was bad. and they will switch or trade any jets that i dont need so i took a bunch of stock ones and got like 300, 320, 340 etc
  16. my personnal opinion they are all about the same. all use adjustable domes for your compression. the looks are different. noss you can get a butt load of choices, colors, billet. prodesign basically the same.

  18. i put a toomey rad on ah its expensive but at the dune a friend with a shee and i were dragging hills and running in the bottoms where there wasnt a bunch of air. my bike was always 15 20 deg cooler than his all he has is a cool head and a in line cooler. my thoughts
