  1. nope no water in the bowls
  2. Two weeks ago at the end of the day my bike started breaking up real bad at half throttle, it could barely get on the power band. I figured i got water on the filter and it was choking, because it has been very wet. I was also jetted rich and figured that added to it. So this week I go out to ride with a fresh filter and its runnng just like a champ. I hit some water/mud stuff and it starts doing what it did last week. I look at the filter and its dry, so i figure ill at lease get it jetting in nicely to eliminate that as a problem. I drop down one on the pilot and main and it is running like a super champ now. Im like WTF one the jetting couldnt have done just that. So i go through the same mud place again, this time slowly. Sure enough, craps out. So i let it sit for 10 minutes, fire it up and it runs great. It ran great for quite a while, I was going real easy in all water, then i got into a really when trail and i knew i was going to be screwed again. sure enough sputtering again. Now i Know it isnt the filter or jetting, I let it sit for a few again and its back to being a champ. So after all that it leads me to where i am now, my wiring harness on my desk in search of a short of some kind. Im pretty sure it has to be electrical. There was very little water in the stator cover. Only alittle drizzled out I have had WAY more than that in there and still have it run so I dont think it is that. Im just wondering if anyone has anyother ideas besides the wiring. It starts, idles fin but doesnt like any RPMs when it is wet. Sorry about the novel
  3. well 100 and 80 means rebuild for sure. Given your head gasket is not leaking.
  4. i think your drunk buddy should be paying the $240 for the pipe
  5. I have just read on the net from people who own them having having fitment problems with the arms. I also read that America Star Racing makes the arms for them, I do have experience with ASR and they basically suck. Since i dont have friends that have every kind of A arm out there, i have to go by what I hear on the internet and from magazines. When someone who owns the product says that the fitment is poor I believe it to be true. So that is my reason, and i think it is a valid one. So my point stands. Thanks you
  6. Suede Brenden Flex Deacon Brenden Large -wurd! Dopetastic B. Joker
  7. I wouldnt go with the alba kit...i have heard bad things about their amrs and works shocks arnt the best. The best kit ive seen is Jansens setup in dirtwheels. elkas, Mx tech arms, and lines for under $1k. However I would spend maybe alittle more and get the quicksand arms w/ whatever shock suits you and the cheapest lines you can fine.
  8. LOL! its amazing what they sell on ebay
  9. thats pretty gnarly looking spider
  10. What i hope happens is Yamaha makes a full race YFZ, Wide, low, kickstart....and them makes a woods version kinda like what the YFZ is now. Kinda like how they have the YZ and WR motorcylces, Same basic platform but moddified for track and woods. the could call the quad the WFR450 When suzuki comes out with there new racer they will kinda have that..the LTZ being based on the DRZ and the new quad based on the RMZ. Although i doubt the new one will have a decent width and suspention still.
  11. if its the old style maiers dont waste your time. the new stuff is about 50,000 times better than the old junk
  12. sweet all this competition is great!! remember when it used to be "what should i get a 400ex or a banshee or should i make my warrior faster?" now you can choose between 3 quads that are all made for the same thing. It worked for dirtbikers for 40 years i bet its going to be great for quads
  13. wow alittle out of my leauge! I have a Lawn Boy 6.5 horse push mower..but its a two stroke..freakin unstopppable little mower
  14. i think the fact that the lady pulled out after two cops already went by pretty much makes it her fault. I know when ever i have to pull over for an emergency vehivcle i make darn shure im out of the way and that there aint nothing around when i get going again. I do think cops can cause more danger by chasing at times but this doesnt seem to be like one of them. I hope the guys hangs....although sadly we dont hang people anymore
  15. thats why i dont type while on acid
  16. yeah those gay clamp ons are known to fall off too
  17. you would have to say american soldiers did it in order for it to get on the news lol ...sorry..
  18. yes, stabilizers are really nice to have
  19. I like the 909 ergo grips..i think thats what they are called..they are ovalish shaped, nice thinkness and soft too..i dont know if they make them for thumbers
  20. Oh and stoked is a widely accepted word in the off road world. It, along with gnarly, should be used in daily conversation...it lets others know you ride.
  21. since it is easier to say "yfz" than "yfz450" people simply call it the yfz. Now banshee sounds cool so people call yfz350s banshees. Most people dont care becasue Banshee is cool and its simple to have just one YFZ so everyone knows what people are talking about. Its kinda like when X-men 2 came out...now when you want to say "I saw X men" you have to say "I saw the fist X-men" or "X-men 1" even though it isnt x-men one its just plain x men. So the off road society has inadvertantly seen this problem and was very happy, until now, calling the YFZ350 the Banshee and the YFZ450 the YFZ....So unless you want to start www.YFZ350HQ.com we dont care hehehehe
  22. well i guess it was worth it then...i wonder how many calls toomey is going to get this week now..
  23. i would call toomey, they will hook you up
  24. i say plate, you dont want to chance the key breaking. I took my flywheel off and the timing key was in 3 pieces....somehow it didnt shear completely...needless to say i have be anti key pro plate ever since. And from what i hear modifying your stock plate is pretty easy and effective for nothing too
  25. there are templates you can get fo porting, but you wont get 70hp out of them. but before you do that... 1) you need to play with your jetting more because if it bogs in 6th you aint jetted right 2) porting will make you engine more sensitive to jetting most likely 3) there is a lever on the lft of your handle bar, its not just for shift gears..when you bog pull it in a hair with the gas pinned and you will go really fast...if of coarse you did what i said in #1 right
