  2. sounds like someones still sore about the flames
  3. those are pretty big pics...i can see you finger prints alomost
  4. front wheel spacers are a bad idea, expecially since you said you jump. The put excessive pressure on the spindles and rod ends and can cause suff to break up front, which is bad!
  5. clutch basket wont do anything..unless it was badly grooved. the shift start does help alot. I put a modded star, RZ shift fors and drums and cut gears in mine this summer and it still doesnt shft like a honda
  6. Amsoil 2000 is the stuff. run it at 50:1 you wont have problems. some people run it at 100:1
  7. i was alittle nervous opening a post called "cotton eyed joes dip stick"
  8. Im sure there are bad port jobs, like hacking them up with a 1" end mill would be a bad port job, but a small performance shops porting wont make things any worse but you may not get as much for your money if you went with one of the really good shops like passion or patriot. either way i dont think you will be dissapointed in it
  9. looks like alot of blow by on that one piston. the cylinder wall doesnt look that good either. to take the pistons off first put rags in the opening of the case!!! you dont want something falling in there! there are little clips in the hole for the wrist pin. i use a little screw flat head screw driver to work the out. you only need to take one off each piston. then slide the wrist pin out of the piston and the piston comes out. You dont have a clymer do you?? trust me and go buy one.
  10. You call that no mechanical abilities
  11. never seen that before, i dont know why the would leave just one
  12. lol yeah pipes not bikes....you will see the nuts you really cant miss em. that set on ebay looks good w/ everything youll need and a good price. do you have a clymer?
  13. never thought of a vacuum, ill have to see how that works.
  14. taking the top end off is quite easy. you know how to ake off the head already. for the cylenders just take off the carbs and bikes, drain the whole coolant system. undo the 4 nuts and pull up. Taking the gas tank and plastics off makes thing easier. sometimesa light tap on the exaust port with a RUBBER mallet breaks em loose. then pull em off. tip em upside down to drain the rest of the coolant
  15. I have gotten a bunch of grass seeds in the outer foam of my pro design filter. they got imbeded in pores of the foam. I didnt think it would be a problem but now i fear they will break down and get by the fine inner foam. ive tried to get all of them out but its not going to happen. Anyone else have trouble with grass seeds?? I really need to run an outerware. But i fear i have to retire the filter now, unless someone can asure me these lingering seeds pose no threat
  16. when my brother got his 250r the pipe was held together with screen door springs. to owner put them on becasue the pipe springs were rusty...but he said the new sniney screen door spring will work just as good
  17. yeah let us know about this modded shaft deal
  18. Yeah no parking brake or anything, the harness is homebuilt. I havnt put di-electric grease on anything. I guess I dont even know what it is. Is it just some magic insulative grease that helps seal the conections? Ill have to try that.
  19. If still had the stock carbs that would be my #1 suspect...but I drop kicked them a while ago
  20. deffinatly the ricky stator...there is no need for a billet timing plate that is behind a stator, flywheel, and cover
  21. yes and yes
  22. This isnt how you get people to help you out buddy. The way you solve problems is by thinking of everything that can be a problem even what you think it cannot be. Not taking peoples advice and telling them you are getting pissed at excessive advice will get you no where. I was in the same boat as you were when I was your age. I got a Banshee that was a POS when I was 16, it ran for a couple months then everything went wrong with it at once. I didnt have enough money to fix everthing, so instead of being impatiant i let the thing sit for over a year while i saved money and read every single bit of information about quads on the web i could find so I could rebuild it right. After i graduated I got a job for a year, and then I was able to rebuild the entire machine into a harbinger of fury. So I reccomend taking a few deap breaths, accept that you cant ride this weekend and slowly and smartly go over the bike to find the problem so you dont waste money on things that arnt problems. So that said... You have had someone offer you a CDI to test, try that. Get a real compression tester, try that. Did you try to push start it, you can spin the engine alot fast pushing or pulling it than kicking it? Did you use a new gasket when you put the shaved head on, the head gasket could be blown? Have you tried new plugs? Gas is in the line, but is it in the float bowl? Is the pilot clogged? Sorry to offend you if you have already tried these
  23. I love the xplaination of why the banshee has two as opposed to the v force....the pipes would be too big if they made them one. lol
  24. Im with you stealth. They can do what ever they want in private, but as soon as they try to pervert the sactity of marrage then there is a problem and it has to stop. Marraige is for a man and a woman no ifs ands or buts. You say it is their right to do it well what if someone wants to have multiple wives? marry their sister? their goat? Things are getting real ugly in this country
  25. well i just pulled the harness and went over the whole thing. Ill have to see how it goes this weekend
