  1. Im sorry I meant no harm by my french comment, it was just a friendly suggestion. They are all about not risking anything to stand up for what is right so i thought he might fit in better there. How can that be a bad thing?
  2. MotulMonster-I here the french army is looking for white flag wavers, maybe you should give them a try
  3. We had 60 other countries with us, how is that alone?? the UN went with us the first time and thats why we didnt get saddam. The UN can go hug a weiner. I feel alot safer knowing that thousands and thousands of terrorists have been killed and there forces broken up. Bush is for umbilical stem cell recerch, and is only against embyonic stem cell reserch. The umbillical cord is proven to be better suited and less controversial. Quite an interesting statement. Try to not belive every thing on CNN and CBS
  4. ive heard its not worth it, and if you do it with like a dremel you can damage the piston and cause it to crack
  5. you need to use the steel sleeves from the inside of the stock arms!
  6. maybe its those rox risers. Ive seen them advertised...look kinda like something that would break
  7. aww man i like to think of us as being at least alittle better that commiefornia!!
  8. Part it out. I need a frame LOL! Strip it down and Ill pick it up this weekend, how far are you from Rochester......I am serous too
  9. WORD!!! anyone read Unfit for Command ?? by swift boat vetrans for truth yet??
  10. It wasnt worth the trouble to go after the officer, I know my rights we were just trying to be cooperative. But i would never let an officer search my car, cooperativeness stops there
  11. I want one too...Hopefully in a couple years i can get one thats already tricked out
  12. Your story of getting stopped for it being by the road remineds me of something that happend to me.....I had just rebuilt the Banhsee about 2 years ago, and was taking it to a local farm to get a little break in done. On the way my brother stopped at His bosses old storage barn to put some shingles in. As hes pulling in we see a cop go by, as were pulling out we see the cop go by again. So we go maybe a half mile down the road to where we turn off for the farm and viola! there was that cop sitting on the road. We just turn on the road figuring thats awful strange....I look behind us as soon as we turn and see the cop doing a full out power whip U turn deal in the intersection to turn around and follow us. He comes up right on our tail, but no lights so we just keep driving along. We go about a mile from where we turned and take another turn, cop follows us still. maybe 200yds from that turn is the farm, as soon as my bro puts his blinker on the cop puts his lights on. Im like dude go in the driveway and see what he does He thought hed play it safe ad pulled over right in front of the driveway. The cop comes up..licsence registration etc...My bro gives it to him. They the comedy starts..."Get out of the vehicle" The cop says "Where you coming from?" Bro replies "Bergen" "No your not, where were you coming from?" "yeah Bergen, I live in Bergen." Angrily the cop says, "No you wernt, You were going towards Bergen" (We were, but were still in Bergen...very confused at this point) "So where were you comign from!!" My Bro confused as heck says "I dont know!!" So the cop says It again.."So my brother catches on and says "Oh i came from that barn" "what were you doing there" "dropping shingles off for my boss" The cop didnt act like he belived him and gos on to the banshee.."WHat year is it?" "89" "Pretty new tires for an 89 dont you think??" My brother tries not to laugh and explains that they are brand new. "wheres the VIN?" He shows him the VIN and the cop calls it in. Then he gives him a hard time about registration and insurance...After the report comes in negative over it being stolen, he slightly softens up and says "Lots of people will store quads in barns over the winter when the steal them." and let us go. It was so rediculous the manner of suspicion we were given for simply having a quad in the back of the truck, He never check my brothers liscence either to see no record at all, probably just a nice guy with enough money to buy new tires..and does he really think that you just junk the quad when the tires wear out? My brother later taled to A cop he knows and he said the officer was alittle nutty...sheesh
  13. exactly! thats why there is no way in heck im registering my quad....Ive said it before and ill say it again if i meet govenor pataki Im going to kick him in the balls!! I guess he better that the weasle that was in before him...
  14. ive heard of cutting it with one of those power meat or bread knife deals
  15. yep NY sucks...fortunately I have ton of private land to ride on. No way my stuff is getting registered. Theres some old raildroad tracks down from me that you can ride on if you are registerd and insured and all that BS..the DEC and police will just sit there if they see trucks and wait for people to come and check them....meanwhile Rochester the closest city has insainly terrible crime rate...that cop should be in the city shooting drug dealers, not harassing off roaders.
  16. Just found out they are only $15 from yamaha, and i can get a newer model one thats already polished...so its not worth it for used
  17. all set now
  18. if you still have stock compression you are just wasting money...all you need is pump gas
  19. a properly set up stroker will deffinately rip your arms off.
  20. Ive had my quicksand wave rotors for less that a year and my bros had them for about 6 months on his 250r and they are both beat to heck. All black and scuffed and the wearing surface is worn down a noticable amount. Anyone else have trouble like this?? They give noticably better braking performance, but i think they should hold up better. Ill try to get some pictures this weekend if I dont forget like I have for the past 2 weeks
  21. youll never get super grunt out of a banshee, but you can make it pull pretty good down low. Pt mids, milled head, advanced timming, reeds, lightend flywheel will give you good low end and throttle responce. For handling Id start with a -2 cut on the swingarm and a set of good tires..holeshots or razrs
  22. I also need a front brake lever..straight of course thanks..
  23. Ok despite how embarassing this is going to be Im going to tell the whole story....I was doing a plug chop on the Banshee...Wide open in 4th, and i Wanted to get stopped soon because they was a corner i didnt want to go around at the end of the straight. So I go to hit the kill button, pull the clutch, and drive into the brakes all at once, real nice like. Well my kill button had gotten rotated up so my thumb doesnt find it, so look down and see it reach my thumb up to hit it. Kill the engine, and clutch and brake fast. The problem is my left hand isnt on good because if rotated up to find the button, I got distracted by that and didnt get back for the braking, so when im braking hard, Im too far foreward, my hand comes off the bar because its not on good, Im way foreward then and the backend come up and around to the left before i can react. So now Im spinning sideways on my left front, knowing its going to be bad news I bail off onto my back, end up rolling onto my stomach somehow, just as the quad hits my shoulder and pumells me into the ground. After it bounces off on me I can see come down land 6 feet from me upsidesown and take off into the air cartwheeling and spinning at least 5 feet up and goes about 20ft before it finally lands nose first and and rolls 2 or 3 times bofore it lands upright 20 yards from where the skids indicate I lost it. So naturally i hop up, pull the plugs check them, put em back in I could already tell that the sterring loop was bent. I then try to kick it over to go back. The kicker just spins free...I try to find nuetral to push back since its not far, shifter wont budge...I finally wiggle it in nuetral and get it back. Back at the barn I can tell the left front is off alighnmet. I pulled the clutch cover and found the small gear behind the basket for the kicker broken in half under my shift star, explaining the kick start and shifting problems The idler gear was broke too. After looking closer my upper a arm mount is bent pushing my upper arm in and back causing alignment problems, and my brake lever got twisted to heck too, but other than that The bike is fine....thank goodness for fat bars axcaliburs and quicksand arms or else broken parts work be everywhere!! How the kicker gears broke is still a mystery...best i can tell the extream force caused the kicker shaft gear to pull into idler gear which caused it and the other gear to break somehow Oh and im fine too.....just so from head to toe, I felt every piece of my safty gear impact the ground and quad, so Im glad it was there! Im looking for a frame and the gears and lever, so if you got anything that would be sweet...Im going to spend all my 34mm carb fund on this repar which kind pisses me off....So thats it, Im still not exactly sure how it got away from me like that on a plug check , but best as I can recall thats how it happend...Just glad im fine and the bike isnt too bad for such a high speed multi axis, and multi rotation crash!
  24. I need the idle gear (that gear on the countershaft between the kicker and the little gear on the basket) I also need the Little gear on the back of the basket or the whole gear unit for the basket. Im not sure if they come apart, mine did when it broke though. Yamaha wants to sell the little gear, the basket gear and basket all as one unit. Let me know what you have...THANKS!
  25. I need an a arm frame. Want it to be in good shape (of course). Will need pictures of the steering stop area to make sure its good since they get mangled. I would like one in the general NY area, so i dont have to pay tons for shipping, if you arnt sure you are close enough let me know anyway Ill see if its worth it. Thanks
