Do you also have to have the sleeves matched to your port?

I asked and turns out it still has all the orginal engine mounts in place. Used to have an zxr250c in it. I think I will keep an eye on it and if it stays low enough I will try and snatch it up at the last minute.

I live in New Zealand so shipping wouldnt be a problem, Its like a four hour drive to him from where I am so I would just go pick it up.

You could also try cutting down your swingarm to -2, I havnt done mine yet but others swear by it, its ment to provide you with a crap load more traction

Damn son, you got lucky, could have been a whole lot worse. A friend of mine fell down a 50 odd meter bank when we where out spotlighting one night, he chased the possum out of the light and took the fall, was there one minute then gone a split second later. Lucky for him the creek at the bottom was in flood and was around 2 meters deep, it broke his fall a bit but he still fractured vertebrae in his spine and messed up his pelvis. Took us around 7 hours to get the poor guy out. Luckily he made a full recovery though. Scariest shit I have been through in my life Looks like a good time for Brooke to throw a little TLC your way

Dude, that is f*ck all of a drive, you should just load up your quad and drive down there and see jim, I am sure he would be more than happy to help you out, He has gone out of his way to help me out and my problem was really out of his control. You have spent so much time stuffing around with your bike what is one days worth of driving, hell you might even learn something about jetting

What do you mean it has some crazy carb? Do you only have 1? Trinity setup? What is your rear tyre size and what size sprockets are you using, your top speed is affected by these

Werd, I think an R1 as a first road bike is a bad move, there are too many factors that can go wrong and most of them out of your control. I think its crazy that it is even legal for a first timer to buy a bike like that. In NZ when you get your bike licence you have to stay on a 250 or below for the first year or you face big fines. It does sort of suck that you cant ride a bigger bike, but it is a good way for you too learn the dangers that are out there.
