  1. Yeah did a spark test and nothing, I checked the pick up clearence and it checks out too along with all the wiring as far as i can tell. Going to bring it in to the shop tommorrow and let them worry about it, its starting to piss me off and if I keep playing with it i am likely to break something.
  2. ok tryed unplugging/plugging that box and it dosnt make a diffrence, could an incorrect pickup coil clearance cause this type of problem?
  3. I disconnected the parking break a long time ago, used one of the block off things Whats the TORS stuff I remove, theres two black boxes below the radiator one has the plug wires going back in to it so i am guessing you mean the other one.

Ok I got my new motor installed, but it is a bitch to start When I got up to the dunes yesterday I took it off the trailer and got it started then crusied around slow for like 20 min, I then pulled up and killed it to let my dad have a go and it wouldnt start again. Checked spark and nothing, tried new plugs and nothing. So after about 30 minitues of playing with shit and getting no where I put it all back together and was ready to leave, I gave it one more kick for the hell of it and it started WTF. I killed it straight away and then tried to start it again but it wouldnt After like another 20 min of stuffing around the same thing I got no idea whats going on. When I rebuilt, I replaced the crank, pistons, clutch, reeds, put on an adjustable timing plate, lightened my flywheel and new carbs along with some other stuff. Before this I still used the TORS system, is there any wiring I have to change that could be causing this? any other ideas?

  6. How much did it cost you? His price varies on what you want to get. I got a lot of other stuff like vforce reeds, Barnett clutch, timing plate etc etc. He also re-sleeved my cylinders with bigbore sleeves and lightened my flywheel so my price is probably not the best to go off. Give him a PM with what you are looking at doing, he will most probably give you a quote.   8. To get the best results out of the stroker you also need to get porting. If your serious about going stroker, you should probably talk to Jim or one of the other builders on this board. They offer packages of all the necessary parts at a good price, cheaper than if you brought them all separate. I got Jim to build me one and his package included the crank, pistons, porting, noss head and a lot of other stuff.
  9. I use motul 800t factory, I used to run it at 32/1 but moved it up to 40/1. Havent had any problems with it, seems like a good oil

  14. I'd just chuck his arms back in the post return to sender, If you kept them without sending him the cash again he might be able to do you for theft. You might want to add a speical "NUYK style" gift in the package though

  18. I have been meaning to ask about this for a while but keep forgeting about it. Its probably a simple fix, but I thought I would ask before I spent hours screwing around with my a-arms and getting nowhere I installed new +2+1 a-arms awhile back and I have found that when I turn hard lock to either the left or right the inside wheel of the direction I am turning will lock in place and I cannot bring it back by turning the bars. Whats happening is the tie rod is getting on the wrong side of itself if that makes any sence. I found that the tab on the frame at the bottom of the steering stem was bent a bit foward so I bashed it back and it fixed the problem a bit, but it can still happen. any ideas on what to do? I am also using +1 offset front rims if that would make any diffrence

The last decent wreak I had I was sixth WOT coming down the beach with my GF at the time on the back and a guy on a YZ250 came out of one of the dunes and proceeded to cut right in front of me, I locked it up but caught him on the back wheel, My bike went over frontwards, I took most of the hit on my sholder and broke it in three places, the GF's knee got broken from what I think was the nerf bar, so I got a bit of shit from her parents on that one. My bike was fine apart from a big dent in my ac bumper, I flipped it back up and was able to ride it back to the car, so we could go to the hospital, the backend of the yz on the other hand was pretty bent up. The worst wreak I have had was back in 98, I copped broken ribs, puntched and collapsed lungs, brusied kidneys, internal bleeding and a ruptured spleen which had to be removed. I was pretty fuct after that one, I needed around 8 Blood transfusions and was in hospital for around 2 1/2 months. Scored just over 60 staples in my stomach and chest as a prize. Heres a pic of the ex's knee about a week after it happened, some of you guys would have seen it before.
  22. That place looks mint, One of my best mates is living/working in Abu Dahbi as a nurse at the moment. She said the people there are friendly enough and its fairly cheap if you want it to be. She also metioned the dunes and beaches there are amazing and that if I had a bike there I would never leave. From your pics it looks that way too Do you get any trouble for enviromentalists? They are finaly starting to wreck stuff for us in NZ.
  23. Like erbilabuc said put your studies before everything else. Just keep your head down and work hard. Stop chasing girls and drinking 24/7 and you will be amazed how well you can do. Then once you finish up and start earning a fat wage because you actually know some shit the girls will start chasing you
  24. Dont really need luck, we got a secert spot and there bloody everywhere. Last time we went, we came out with 7 loaded up on the wolvirine. We dont even bother taking the whole thing half the time, just the hind quaters and back steaks unless its got a good head
  25. It is Friday here, I live in the future. 8 am Friday, just got to work, its all good though only a half day today. Going Bush to see if I can cap a deer or 2 with the old man.
