I agree that the forums being down "below the fold" aren't being used as much as those near the top. I figured though if I move too much off-topic categories higher up, it may take away from the actual banshee-related categories. I think once I add more mods, and we can all pitch in and move some topics to the right locations, they'll start filling up. Once the topic-reply-notification emails start directing people towards the off-topic forums and lesser-used forums, they will gain in momentum.

There's been features I've installed/integrated with the BansheeHQ that either took off well, or not at all. Some features/enhancements from the early days of the BHQ are still around today, while others I've intentioinally excluded in the upgrade processes (over time). There will be more polls for features as they come to my attention, such as this one. A voice chat suggestion/offering was made to me a few times regarding voice integration to the chat room, but one of the BHQ'ers (BansheeDan) had a different idea. Using a solution such as TeamSpeak (he uses this), to which Ventrilo (which i use) came to mind. We'll weight out the best one, but only if it is voted that it will be used enough to maintain either one. No real sense in putting time into creating something if it's not of popular demand, but if it is in demand then it's worth doing. Please vote, and choose wisely grasshoppa' -L

First of all, don't go spam PS or any other site on behalf of the BHQ. Playing other peoples games won't keep us the big dogs that we are (meaning all of you devoted HQ'ers and myself) Secondly I agree that the site needs to have some big guns brought in. I'll be asking a few good HQ'ers to help moderate. I originally was going to do an election, but it's just taken me way too long to get around to that. Not that I don't care, but right now I do have a business plus I'm partnering with someone on another business deal (outside of the web-stuff). So for a little while at least, I can't get on the BHQ enough to keep on top of it, but that's where moderators come into play anyways. To relieve the administrator of some of the maintenance, which in turn betters the site, and in return they are part of a growing and experienced web community. There's no wars starting toward other sites, but rather a defense force for anything that gets posted here. Hah, we'll call the new mods the BHQ Military. ok, we don't have to go that far, but an army of HQ'ers would be cool. Here goes the cleanup!

It's hilarious to see that these nigerians are willing to do some pretty crazy carvings, artwork, etc. just to get that persons bank account... I love screwing over scumbag rip-offs.

Growing up, even as a little pip-squeak, I was pretty much allowed to watch movies if my parents were watching (R rated included, not xxx of course) that showed tits or ass. But that was them popping a rental tape in and watching it. I just think putting it on TV where anyone can see it regardless of whether their parents allow it or not can be a bit much; nudity that is, not bikinis. Again, if I had an "adult filter" option on the site that would be great. Then I could allow for practically any content to be posted. Until then, I just have to be careful on what the wide-demographic of members here are exposed to in terms of whether they want to or not. It really isn't a big deal to me and I don't take/give these things personally. I just have to be the bad guy every once in a while and moderate. :shrug:

I think my words were taken out of context. I didn't insinuate that you're an abusive parant b/c you got the belt or whatever when you were a kid. I'm saying you do whatever you feel is the best way to raise your child. But I don't feel that every kid needs a good ass kicking for doing something he/she shouldn't be doing either. Just like I don't think it's a good thing that doctors are giving Ritalin or saying every kid has ADHD because he can't focus in school. There's more than one way to dicipline or raise a child. (and for the record I am not a father but I was a kid once..) And going back to the tits and ass. If you feel like you've been unjustly pointed out by having to remove the image, then put it back on your profile and I'll forward each complaint to your inbox when it comes in.

Right, I agree some little hellians won't learn by verbal correction alone. But by advocating the use of force just makes a society of abusive parents. More than enough kids grow up without their parent's understanding them or as to why they did something they should be doing. There's no doubt that people need discipline throughout their life by those who know more than them (starting with kids and their parents, up to adults and their teachers/mentors). But my biggest question here is how this relates to removing boobs from a public site? Not trying to get defensive here but rather just trying to see how that ties in really, to whether or not kids should see bouncing titties... From a site-owner's point of view, I don't see how anything that is allowed/not allowed, being a civil disrespect to your right of expression; but rather to keep the site, at least moderately, appealing to new visitors that may become as much of the banshee community as all of us are already. Not does keeping things going in moderation say something to those who let their children visit the site, but also to vendors, researchers, etc. Moderation is all about finding that balance when there is a fine line between should and shouldn't. If I was to go on offtopic.com, for example, and put a pic in my signature of a ... wait, no offtopic doesn't allow pics in sigs... by the way, that's one of the largest forums on the internet.

Many open-public forums don't allow images at all in their signatures. People aren't complaining about one particular signature. When the site to which they go to for information has a loose (liberal about it, if I may dare say) take on censorship for the forums, it can often be 'abused' in some ways. It's no different than hanging up certain pics at a public business where people from all walks of life and age frequent. If there was an easier way to turn off the signatures you don't like, then that would be one thing, but it's probably not right for me to ask people to turn off all the signatures if only a few are breaking their network's policy. Censorship is across the board. It's not a liberal or conservative bias.. it's a human trait where people speak out when they feel something doesn't belong. There are plenty of times I let things slide, but if enough people say it's got to go, ... "them's the rules". Popular vote is how it's always been here. Nothing personal. I've removed other images throughout time and I'm sure I'll have to do it again. Thanks for understanding.

If I was to start a system for Image Hosting, would anyone be interested in it? It would probably be a pay service but I'd make it competitive to those other image hosts. I'd probably automatically give Premium Members a particular amount of storage as an added Premium benefit. All non-Premium accounts will be able to use the service for a yearly fee. Would anyone be interested in that?
