i think he would benefit more from porting than a coolhead.

That's true, but he may be looking at some down-time with it being this time of year and being on a list. I was just throwing that suggestion out there as an option for a quick power mod. I'm wanting to get some porting done to mine but I'm going to wait for my first re-build when I have it all apart already.

pretty much every thing you can do to it, with out turning a bolt the engine.

Stock bore and stroke.

stock pistons

stock motor.

You had to turns bolts to install reeds! :woot:

You are on the original bore that is 7 years old, I would get the port job and a new top-end with it. Your compression might still be within limits, but it would be advantageous to do them at the same time. Bigger carburetors would compliment a nice port job and CPIs...

If $500 is the max, shave the stock head, timing plate, and lighten the flywheel for now, save the rest for the port work and top-end.

not sure what kind of riding you do but kevin's dune port is really nice.you can save your money by just having him cut your stock head.might be a good idea to have a fresh top end if its 7 yrs old.thats pretty much going to take up the 500 i believe.later on think of a adjustable timing plate and carbs but not a must if your not dragging it.
