does anybody know exactly where the weight is removed from .i was wanting to try to do it myself i have access to the neccessary machinery and experience just scared to start hacking away at it without knowing where and about how much to cut

i've cut a few down my self but can't remember how much i took off of each side of magnet.when i get a chance i will measure mine and let you know.

I had mine cut down. If you look at the outer edge their is a step down on the flywheel. I had it cut to that depth on both sides over to the magnet. It turned out great and looked just like the one in the photo.

yea if somebody could give me some measurements mainly how deep into it (depth of cut) would be greatly appreciated.

Outside diameter(around the magnets)- 4.900"

Smaller rivited ring- 2.900"
