Only once while friends & I were trying to conquer a climb at a trail spot. Steep friggin climb on high gears and we couldn't get it. We would just whoop it around when we lost momentum. A guy in a truck watching us pulls up and ask why we keep turning around and why can't we just cruise it in second. Then goes on how his Polaris can just pull tow two of our quads up the hill on second.. and very sarcastic about it too! I laughed my ass of in his face & called it BS! Told him to bring his shit so I can show him what a ported Banshee would do. That gave me encouragement and I hit the climb lol.. Later on doing wall rides in another area, we catch him taking pics of us coming down into the jumps.

 

Besides that guy, Riders out here don't act that way. Everyone is good with each other regardless of your off road vehicle. Always meet and talk to diff riders out on the trails. They'll give me their 4 stroke speil & I'll speak my 2 stroke thoughts. And that's it! We all play by the rules & every off-roader respects & helps each other. I have no business walking up to someone else camp & ragging on their atv & they don't either so it doesn't happen. Every spot has a lineup for drags. You're welcomed to line up and punch the throttle and you don't get judged or bashed. It's all about the sport and riders respect it... :thumbsup:

i never read the last page im trying for 500 posts this morning haha but yea man i catch whats being said. 4 stroke guys are allllways blah bla blah a buddy of mine ran out and bought the KTM right. week later me other buddy rides said KTM and goes out, sells his 2 year old honda 450 for the new KTM, now both of them are stock thumpers. (nice thumpers, i WILL admit.... but only because KTM is where the fuck its at and always has been... can you imagine a KTM banshee challenger? if it was built?)

anyway there BOTH baggin on me cause i have the old banshee that cant. and it will be done by summer. and i will roost the paid of em. o got 2 smoking oily exhaust pipes and the residue should cover orange plastic nicely.

I think it's more about the Banshee having ALWAYS been the fastest quad. I'm probably older than most on here (31), but coming up riding dirt bikes and quads... it was ALWAYS all about the Banshees. The older heads know... :cool:

I ride with a bunch of guys that have Utility ATVs........ So I get Guff all the time, When the new can-am Renegade came out one of the guys bought it and wanted to race on dirt (renegade is 4x4 optional) so all week I had to listen to "even if you do beat me Ima gonna kik ur ass off the line" ect....... Untill D-Day we went from a roll a Dig on asphalt, dirt, and grass. Kiked his ass on asphalt, did a second gear launch on dirt and grass not once did he come out in head of me, but after that is when the fun starts. we came back to the trailer and I went and looked at the back of his bike and said "just wanted to know what the back looks like because I dont ever plan on seeing it other than in the trailer.

If someone came up to me with that attitude I would get off my bike, draw a line in the sand with my foot and tell the fucker if hes got a problem to cross the line... I hate stupid people and it seems this world is getting flooded with em.

One day I had a guy come to my house and tell me that his stock 07 crapter would whoop the sh*t out of my shee. All I could do was laugh at him. I told him flat out that yeah you will beat me the first 3 gears but after that its going to be good bye. So the guy starts saying that I'm full of it and that his crapter is the fastest thing out there. Now I never race on the road ( too many cops and retarded drivers) but he got me so pissed that I said lets go. We went out and got going with him a little in front of me. First 3 gears hes staying about the same distance in front then we shift into 4th and I fly past him. Well I get it into 5th and look back hes at least 50 yards behind flat out and I still got a gear to go. So we get back to my house and he starts with the excuses. He tries telling me that if he had an exhaust he would beat me. What a dumbf**k. I think the topper was he tried telling me that he was going to be sponsered by suzuki to race mx but he never raced before. That is the type of person that buys 4 strokes and think they are the greastest things ever

dont get me wrong i love 2-strokes, i always have but i dont think theres anything wrong with 4-strokes either. It just seems like everyone with 4-stroke have to try and prove that there better/faster than a banshee. 4 strokes are better than 2 strokes at some things, and 2 strokes are better than 4 strokes at some things. I will say though people with 4 strokes are a hell of alot more cocky than us guys with 2 strokes.

I too like both for different reasons, however I really don't see too many 2 stroke guys going on and on, especially in someones face that there 4 stroke sucks. Sure poking fun here and there is no big deal, but if they just keep dragging it on and are serious...those people deserve to be put in their place.

 

And I think the reason the 4 stroke guys are getting more and more cocky is because, well everything is turning to 4 strokes. Sleds, quads, bikes, whatever. And I think a lot of them look at it like we are always on the MX track, things like that. Like yea, these 4 strokes are changing every year, new technology, all of that jazz. Cause clearly our 20 year old technology is crappy and shitty to them. But everything is mx these days...if you don't ride mx, then you ain't shit (this is not my opinion...I think this is the way they look at it).

 

Like yes when 4 stroke guys come up to me and say oh i'll beat you in a race. I ask what kind of race..and they say any race. So I offer a drag race (it's a banshee, and a straight line..what more is there to put together,lol) And so they agree they will win ( I had a friend of mine on his 450ER offer to take the gravel shoulder of the highway and I can have the pavement..because he was so sure he was going to win). He started going on about how he usually gets the holeshot and all of that jazz. So we race, after the 4th race he said "I think im going to give up now"

 

I was not an ass about it, I just nodded and we continued on riding around the area. I will tell them they will beat me on mx, obviously..thats not what my bike is set up for.

I cant wait untill this summer the shee build will be done and the ass kiking starts. Ima gon put er up to 150lbs of compression port it, do some case porting, throw the pro-cool radiator on it, and a +4 swing arm. cant wait till I get to squash my buddy's YFZ with the R6 engine in it, hes all talk right now and he wont let it go. :biggrin:

lol so this posts gone on for a couple days now it must be a growing problem haha! here in a month or so im the works for purchasing or building a drag bike, strictly for slapping hairlips on ignorant fools like this :biggrin: not to say my shee is a turd by any means but i personally havnt gotta ride say a 4 or 7mill bike and got an itch for it!! we just purchased an rd400 drag bike witha wheelie bar on it thats in the shop getting punched out, ill post something on that 4-sure, you guys will get a kick out of this bike we purchased for 600 bux on ebay! flipin sweet machine, good to see im not alone here though, this site kicks major ass! like crack, im on here daily now seeing if i have any help to offer or just to read, keep up the good work and lets keep these 4-strokers guessing how such a small powerplant can do so much

well i/ve had a hundred experiences with tha ridin 2strokes always causes a race , and it is so funny for some kid with a new 450 of anykind so far, come up to me at a ridin spot , or a local guy that knows about tha shee or my rm and be like wanna race? i bet i can woop that bashee easy m,y 450 got blah , blah , blah , blah. and evryone of them wanna know what ive done to it, (thinkn they'll have a list things that they wooped on a banshee) just to have the same outcome, leavng all p!ssed off mad at me for handed them there own @$$ in a bag after they never wannna give up at getting smoked, it just seems to put tha biggest smile on my face to hear how much money they wasted losing to my 16 year old banshee, and dont get me wrong, i love 4stroke and ride one or two evry week ,

hey it goes both ways... theres plenty of morons out there on beat ass banshees that barley run,who think they got the hottest shit in the world cause its a banshee and they saw a video of a banshee on the internet beating a quad with a hyabusa motor in it, ill agree most the idiots are teenage 450 riders, but theres PLENTY of idiots on banshees giving us a bad name too...

I own both and like riding either. I will say however I got 1 good run in this last weekend. Guy rolls up on a brand new 700 Raptor. I was chilling at the bottom watching and he says you wanna run? I said sure, we lined up and it was dead even until I hit 3rd and pulled him by about 3 bike lengths. I turn around on top, he comes up and says " gotta hand it to you, 2 stroke pulls it off again. Good race thanks" and rides off. After that it was every dick on the hill wanted to talk shit. I was done for the day and on my way back was when my little electrical mishap happened and it didn't run for shit after that. I ran maybe 10 times with a shitty running bike and yes I got beat by everything but Blasters and a Polaris Sportsman 600 4x4 ( all of my buddies were fucking around one night and these are what they ride), I never lost by more than 2 lengths. But you could see the arrogance in these assholes. They wouldn't even come BS with us.
