broke Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 I say go for the Elka's. I had to wait 6 weeks for my Peps and thought that was nuts. That four month wait is out of hand. broke Quote
Blue Duece Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 Splurge and go Ohlins.......Elka's run cooler than Pep's....i like the piggy back rez myself Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 i have Elka dual rates with piggybacks. they are sweet. i say go for Elkas Quote
boonman Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 I say go Elka. Price is good and the shock is sweet. I run Works though, but if I was to buy new ones, I would get Elka's. But I'm a poor mofo.... Quote
cojo Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 I cant say from experience, but they say that the remote resivor and the piggyback are damn near identical in performance. Its probably so hard to tell the dif, that if you didnt know which pair was on the quad, you wouldnt be able to tell. Quote
Banchetta Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 poor mofo.... You live in Buffalo. We all know the truth. Slerge the money!!! Quote

Its probably so hard to tell the dif, that if you didnt know which pair was on the quad, you wouldnt be able to tell. id almost bet you cant tell the difference between rez and no rez....the shock has to be worked hard (heat up) to fade and thats where the rez helps.. even a drop off every lap of a 1/8 mile track wont heat it....you'd have to ride a whoop section 1 mile long wide open to heat that elka....i ran the works triples and bottomed the same if not more than my stock's....then splurged and went ohlins and love it..my buddy has the elkas and his shocks rock, if id ive known i would have saved some cash and went elka, the only time i can tell my shocks are better than his is when i get my visa bill......
