brian Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 Ok, so I'm building my motor. My first banshee so I'm going a little slow. All excited tho cuz things are looking good. I machined my own head and just got it torqued on. It fits great and really looks good. But.................while I was admiring the look of my creation I noticed a little baggie sitting on the foot of my engine stand. Checked it out cuz it didn't look empty. Much to my dismay................... a Fuckin circlip !!!!!! :wallbash: Yeah, go ahead, I said it too, WHAT AN IDIOT !! Oh well, it didn't take as long to fix as I thought it would. Quote

RNBRAD Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 I missed the pin for the shift star. Saw this little shiny rod that rolled under my motorcycle, was like OMG where does that thing go? lol Quote
Dave I. Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 Well I guess im not the only one who ends up with spare parts some times. When I was putting my cub together I had everything all done and ready for a leak down test. Then I looked over and saw my water plugs sitting on the work bench.....Yep, I got to take it apart and put those in. Dave Quote

RZBansheeMan Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 On one of my first 2 stroke projects, I was a 13 year old kid rebuilding my RM 80 dirtbike, well I ended up putting the piston in backwards...LOL, luckily I checked it before putting the pipe on and caught it before trying to start it. MILO Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 any items left over after carefull installation and assembly are factory extras bud, so you don't really need them anyway. :yelrotflmao: don't feel bad, i'm sure we've all been there once, some maybe twice. :yelrotflmao: Quote
