I contacted F.A.S.T. but Jeff was backed up for another month or so, so if anyone can give me some feedback from other companies they had good experience with I'd appreciate it.

This is for a CR125 btw. Friend of mine blew his top end and the bottom is pretty old also so he's wanting to go all out on some porting and a stroker. Need to find a reputable company who's not backed up so I can talk to them and get some price/turn around time quotes.

Appreciate it.

I saw those, way out of the price range not to mention that doesn't include the cost of the bottom end.

Just lookin' for a place who can do a top/bottom end rebuild with a longrod stroker and some midrange porting.

Thanks for the link though.

If you want a quality job done at a reasonable price I suggest Brian Sutton at Brian's 2 Stroke Performance in Florida 954 739 1097.

Brian is a very honest guy that does great work.

umm, rebuild it to stock and buy a 250F. a 125 will always have a narrow and peaky powerband. And buyin a 250f wil be cheaper than all that motor work, and more realiable, and have a better powerband (power EVERYWHERE)....just my thoughts.

I agree. That's what I told him, but he seems to be set on a 2 stroke. I'm going to see if I can't talk him out of it but untill then if anyone else has any reccomendations. A link, email, or phone number is much appreciated.

Thanks for the number RK.

Call Bob @ R&B Performance in Michigan.

I've seen a few of his banshees run, and some of his port work.

Impressive...and very, very inexpensive.

His name on here is machwon, here's his number:

Talk to Denny over at Flotek. It's a one man show and he does good work. He has GREAT after the sale help. I called him on the phone a couple times and he helped me get my bike running. He done my engine work in less than 2 weeks, kept me updated etc. We discussed what i wanted out of my bike and he done that. Plus, it was cheap.

I wouldnt go to anyone but him. See what he can do for a 125.

On another side of things, i would sell the 125 and get a 250 2 stroke. I had a 2001 yz125 and i sold it and bought a yz250. It was a night and day difference. You can put a nice 144kit in a 125 but it will never be close to a STOCK 250 2 stroke. Have him ride a 250 2 stroke and a 144'ed 125 and see if he still wants a souped up 125 or a 250 haha.

not to mention a hopped 125 is goin to be a ticking time bomb. The tricked 125 motors tend to last no more than 20 hours before they need atleast rings.

I still say get a 250f, it'll be WAY more reliable than a tricked out 125, and be WAY less finicky with jettin and fuel. And it;ll prolly have the same amount of power.

Or do what rajuncajun said and just get a bigger bike....

I say he just rebuilds it to stock and if he wants to go fast get a 250 2 stroke.

My 125 was ported and had head work done. It was reliable, it had a broad powerband  for a 125 and it ran with 250F's but i guarantee if I was on a 4 stroke i would have done better cuz i was riding the piss out of it just to keep up.

I know you told him and i agree that he should get a 250. i dont know how reliable a stroker would be in that bike and a 250 would still blow it away
