zpolencheck Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 so I have 2 different set-ups for my banshee available. 1. is a open top airbox with pro flo and k&n air filter. the other is no airbox and 2 k&n filters. My questions are what set up do you recommend for best all around performance (no worries on dirt/water b.c my shee stays clean and out of mud)?? also, i know that changing the set up from one to the other will change the sound of the machine...i THINK it would have a nicerr/deeper sound with the air box..am I right? mpbanshee Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 If you stay away from water, the clamp-ons are the way to go. Keep an eye on your jetting when you switch intake setups. Quote

mpbanshee Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 for performance AND sound? For performance, yes. For sound, that depends. You may not get that waaaaaaahhhhhh sound without the airbox. However, I wouldn't be too concerned about that. Get some pipes on there, and intake sound will not be an issue! Pipes will also make yor airfilter change much more worth while. Quote
baddsheee Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 K&N pods definately for performance  Quote
vtecjun Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 I run the K&N Pods with outerwears. I have taken them through a little mud and they seem to hold up well. Quote
zpolencheck Posted March 23, 2007 Author Report Posted March 23, 2007 well I just sold my pt mids and I am going to buy t5's or t'6s but I still believe that having an airbox will deepen the sound, kind of like a speaker box. Dinner Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 You arn't even going to notice the sucking air sound once you are on the throttle anyways. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 does it really make a huge difference.I have an airbox with lid. Will I notice a difference switching to pods. Quote

scooter Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 pods all the way for performance. plus there easy to clean and gets rid of the factory air box shit under the seat Quote
baddsheee Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 does it really make a huge difference.I have an airbox with lid. Will I notice a difference switching to pods. There will be a huge difference in perofrmance getting of the airbox. It will breathe much more better. You can notice a difference with the lid off. With the whole airbox gone is the way to go. Shearers will be happier with some K&N pods. Quote
