Bansh-eman Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 yamalube is pretty much all the lubricant you need... its priced reasonably well... if your buyig name brand products for premix your paying for just that....the name... honda and yamaha make very good oils.. the only oil that i dont use thats none yahalube in my banshee and in my wife yfz450 is the tranny oil in my banshee... i run gearsaver 80W stick with yamalube , 36:1 is what i run Quote
Mullet Man Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 yamalube 2R @ 40:1. 16oz bottle to 5 gallons of gas. no probs here. going to run the blaster on it as well for the convenience and ease. Quote
wesw Posted March 15, 2007 Report Posted March 15, 2007 i use it to break my motors in and then 927. yamalube doesnt seem to burn as clean as 927 Quote
Animalman294 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Yeah, I need to decide which oil to run in my cub now. I was runnin redline in it before the rebuild, but just prior to build I switched to H1R................ Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 redline makes some very nice oils... we ran it when i was younger and raced go karts.. only thing with the redline we ran is its very thin... its more for a motor that is planned on being rebuilt very often like a race motor. not sure if they the oil you ran is the same one we did when racing but if it was you can count on the life of the motor to be cut substantually... differentstrokes Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 I personally use Maxima Castor 927, but I've heard nothing but good stuff about Yamalube 2R. Quote
