jmd0346 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Got a link? No. Nothing that you couldnt Google and find. All I know is from experience. Ive built a bike for a friend that had pro-circuits and Im tuning a bike now for a buddy that has FMF fattys. Id take the DMC over any of these pipes. Ive seen T-5's and CPI's run too. Im still impressed with the 916's. They've got a hell of a mid-range hit and pull pretty damn good up top. I run my bike rich so it never really "lays over". Quote

Mid range and up top isnt what im looking for, a monkey can drag race.... Quote
jmd0346 Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Mid range and up top isnt what im looking for, a monkey can drag race.... Who the hell said anything about drag racing? It doesnt take some wizard to ride a mid-high end pipe in the trails either. Quote

I appreciate your advice. But I said im going to be doing mx and riding some wheelies. I know it doesnt take a wizard to ride high pipes in the trails. Plus a wizard wouldnt choose high pipes in the trails because they know all. Quote
gregbowler Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 (edited) Read some about these: http://www.dmc-on-line.com My vote is: Edited February 14, 2007 by gregbowler Quote
jlsparky7 Posted February 15, 2007 Author Report Posted February 15, 2007 I cant find ANY info about the 916's on DMC's website. All they have is a pic. Quote
gregbowler Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 They use the same head pipe as the regular alien pipes. Here: http://www.motofrugals.com/product.jsp?id=87 http://traxms.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?S..._DMC_Banshee916 Quote
jlsparky7 Posted February 17, 2007 Author Report Posted February 17, 2007 250 views and 17 opinions? Anyone else? Quote
Washburn Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 I feel for MX/Wheelies you cannot beat the PT MIDS. They are leaps and bounds better than the FMF. The FMF Might have a little bit over the PT MIDS On top but the mids pull so much harder in the low/mid range and still have some on top its not even fair to compare. I think the mids pull some harder then the 916s and they dont fall off as fast. The 916s have more low end than any other pipe. They (Mids) are perfect for wheelie control and they dont rev like a son of a bitch (like the Toomeys) so its a smoother power transition from landing a jump and then having to corner on an MX Track. jlsparky7 Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 Anyone else have an opinion? Its not a big deal, but i dont care for chrome so I would prefer a pipe that comes in black. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Just choose which one you like best.I ride wheelies perfectly with shearers and 16/39 gearing.Oh yeah and I trail ride every weekend. Quote
bansheecowboy Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 i have dmc 916 and i really like themgreat power all the way i think Quote
jlsparky7 Posted February 21, 2007 Author Report Posted February 21, 2007 (edited) How far does the DMC 619 kit stick out from the rear plastic? Im worried it will hit the sand when doing wheelies? My grab bar is bent up a bit. Can you cut the silencer to make it shorter? Also can you keep the airbox or will it need to be removed? Edited February 21, 2007 by jlsparky7 Quote

Banchetta Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 ptr mids, hands down, they have the smoothest power of any other pipe. Perfect for wheelies, trails, mx, sand pits.....Anybody can ride anything through a trail and clutch the hell out of it, but the ptr's pull hard, but smooth at a very low rpm right up to 8800rpms...you can lug the motor in a high gear and still have the powerband come in smoothly and pull harder and harder as the rpms climb.
