yamaha04 Posted December 22, 2006 Report Posted December 22, 2006 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEETAH-610...sspagenameZWDVW is this guy out to lunch seems kinda high to me but i dont know much about the drag motors? Quote
BigRed350x Posted December 22, 2006 Report Posted December 22, 2006 Doesn't seem all THAT high to me. Comes with pipes too! That's a huge engine and I imagine it would cost a pretty penny to build yourself. The crank has got to be well up over $1200, cylinders, case work to run the 16mil would be more than the normal case trenching, transmission... I dunno. I wouldn't pay much more than what the auction is at right now. Might be different it it came with a chassis or carbs or other stuff... Quote
yamaha04 Posted December 22, 2006 Author Report Posted December 22, 2006 oh yeah seems high but then again iv never built a motor like that before. im loveing the new plastic chnage on your new banshee looks sick Quote
dajogejr Posted December 22, 2006 Report Posted December 22, 2006 He smoked his breakfast. You can almost get that motor IN a bike for that much.... Quote

NYUK Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 price one to build it from scratch. you will see. Quote
fox_forma Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 I believe that motor is from East Coast ATV, as for the pricing, I dont know much about that Quote
dajogejr Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 price one to build it from scratch. you will see. Fine point NYUK....but I think you'll attest to, you can build it from scratch and pay top dollar. Or, you can buy one built for a helluva lot less!!! Pretty safe to say not many of us can get back all the money we spent building our shit, but...you can buy one already done up for alot less than your investment totals.... Quote
BigRed350x Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 Guess maybe my idea of expensive is a little different than some other people's idea. Sometimes its worth it to be to pay a litlte more and get something already assembled than to try and find/make time out of all my other projects to do it myself. That's just me though. Quote

Yeah thats true but if you ask me half of the fun of it is building the engine yourself. Same as buying drag bikes part of the fun is building them yourself. Unless Of course you find a smokin deal.
