I just checked my radiator today on my '06. It's been 1 year of riding. No resevoir since day 1, radiator still full! This after riding all summer in Glamis too. Pipes are clean, no overflow.

its not a good idea to take it out till you find out why it is overheating mine was doing this all summer and i messed with the jetting alot till the wissing was a minimall. about a bottle with 4 houres of rideing. i changed my clutch and discovered the plastic water pump gear was broken fixed that and what do you know the prob went away. not to brag but ran the shee all summer with no water pump and did ok man the jetting was spot on.

it dosent matter once the shit spills into the over flow it about 90% of the time wont make it back into the radiator... so reguardless having it wont help.

Mine only spits out antifreeze if I actually fill up the reservoir. I even put a new radiator put in and it still spit some out if I added any antifreeze. If your radiator is full you don't need any antifreeze in the reservoir.
