I am not sure off all the changes that yamaha has done to the banshee (other than colored plastic) over the years but can someone list them. Here is what I know...I think

rear brake light added, different head lights, j-arms to a-arms, and different axle nuts?

im not sure about this, but I heard the stock pipes are different on the first year model, than the rest

can anyone confirm that????

Boy....if you have an 87 and are still running stock pipes, you'd really need to get out of that bubble...ha ha ha...:)

Gearing.... Some years have 41 tooth rear, some have 42....me thinks.

As Nyuk said, electrical. 87 to 94, same, 95 to 96, Same, 97 to current....same.

My 01 has different connectors then my 01 in a lot of places. The 01 has a lot of the flat rectagle style connectors, and the 02 has more of the rounder ones. The headlight connections are the only ones I remember off the top of my head.

Final ratio gearing and rear tire size are different between 87-88 and 89 up.

sprocket hub - 4 bolt to 6 bolt
