Simple and cheep low end power is a head mod (under $100.00 mill and squish mod) or a "Cool Head" from Noss. Quote
dajogejr Posted September 4, 2006 Report Posted September 4, 2006 1st off...you did rejet it correctly once you put the PCs on, right? Next...Mill the head, advance the timing with a plate and shave the flywheel. All those together will run you less than 200 bucks...it will make a BIG difference... Quote
NY350twin Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 The most simplest and cheapest would have to be to drop one tooth or so on the front sprocket, it will give you more acceleration but less top end. Quote
helldriver Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 go woth a set of FMF Gnarly pipes are they are a low end pipe, i used them when i used to race a banshee in XC,, get some low end porting too Quote
broke Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 4 stroke He said "LOW END" not low power. Like others have said. Get the compression up any way you'd like, get a set of PTR mids, V-force reeds may my low end a little crisper, advance the timing. Shaving the flywheel is a double edged sword, it revs quicker but "tends" to fall off the pipe quicker. With a pipe like the PTR, you never really fall off the pipe because it pulls from so low. If you really want to wake up the low end, search up RZ. Quote
endofitall9 Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 haha he said "4 poke" I'm a firm believer of the banshee and a 2 stroke sniffin mo fo I built my motor for bottom. tight trails, creeks, hills ect ect. the pt mids, with 2 into 1 carb, v force 3's,nosshead,+4 timing and a lightened flywheel will give you alot of bottom but the biggest increase is going to come from the port work you have to go along with these mods. I lug through the woods in 3rd and can usually climb any hill around in 3rd with the light flywhell just a quick tap of the clutch and your already in the band. Josh Quote

Josh where can I get the intake you have? Quote
endofitall9 Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 they no longer make the graydon intake, its a better style than the trinity. the longer tubes give the fuel more time to atomize and that lets the cylinders burn the gas easier not to mention the cleanup job it does around the motor. You can usually find them on ebay from time to time but I have seen a couple go on here in the last couple of months they shoould run you somewhere between $150 to $300 just depends on where you find it. I got lucky and traded a set of 35mm pwks for mine and there is noway I would ever get rid of this intake. Josh Quote
