Can I have a trail worthy banshee thats capable of 90+ mph? ok so lets be logical here, so I have a stock for stock motor with a uni filter and t-5s, so my bike is quick but still tops out around the 70, so can I mod my bike to be able to gear it for 90+ top speeds but still have the grunt for trails. The way I see it, its all about gearing and mods only get you to your top speed faster so with stock gearing and a ton of mods your still gonna go somewhere near stock top speed, so all In all I am wondering what I can do to my motor and shit to be able to be where I am at now on the trails ( powercurve of stock motor with T-5 pipes) yet be able to do it with a taller gear for more top speed?

good porting plenty of other mods and tall gearing will do the job but yo ureally need to ride a she at a true 90+mph before your dead set on it ,it is extremly scary and uncomfortable in a quad frame to go this fast

Totally agreed... I've been as fast as 80mph on a shee, and it was cool for the first few seconds... then i started to think... wtf happens if i eat shit going this fast... not a good feeling... 90mph on a quad is insane unless your doing straightline dragging on a smooth surface.

It is possible.Porting will make a huge difference.I'm sick of hearing about banshees that can do over a 100mph.Alot of them can but come on.It takes more than just pipes.Keep in mind too.Even if you can hit 90,who cares if it takes you forever to get there.

I had some guys ask me how fast mine should go.I told them around 90-95.They was shocked. They told me about this banshee that could do 112.Maybe he could, but I beat I'd smoke him in the 1/8th no problem.Just my opinion.

Get a good port job, good set of pipes(CPI/shearer),larger carbs, different head, and weld up the crank and that banshee will be quite a hand full.

My friend Michael has a dune ported(F.A.S.T.).Even with stock carbs, that banshee is extremely strong.I'm impressed.

He runs holeshots.Right now his gearing is 13/41.We know he should gear up to either 14/41 or 15/41.With the 13/41,it spins something fierce on asphault with his' holeshots in 1st and 2nd.In 3rd,it will lay down about a 10 ft. black mark.Remember, that's with stock carbs.Jeff is awesome on his' porting.

I hate when people ask me "how fast will it go?" like top speed is the most important factor. I mean come one, don't be so one dimensional. Now if they asked how fast is it in the 8th, that might be a different story.

Especially if it only takes 3 to 4 seconds to hit those speeds it's a RUSH. It does get scarey. Imagine tie-rod let go or spindle snapped or forgot to torque something down at thoes speeds. Youll be like a lawn dart.
