  1. Most shops, if they are good guys and you buy alot from them will order it in. One shop ive delt with which I dont really care for requires a deposit for them to order because they dont want to get stuck with it. I guess some guy ordered a few gals. of benol and never picked it up and they had a hard time selling it. Another shop that I go to now (IMX) ordered it for me no questions asked, and I bought it from them. 42 and some change for a gal of super tech. I like the klotz it seems to mix well and burn pretty good....it also smells good and is red dyed. Im sure you could probably get it online cheaper but if youd rather get it from a shop just ask and if they arent dicks they will order it for you.
  2. Ya well if I had the money I would get a buggy...HPI 5b....can you say BIG. The damn thing tears up motocross tracks. I think I could use 1000 bucks more for other things then a R/C car so im going to stick to cheaper ones. Im really leaning towards the savage SS It just seems better in all areas for my needs. I mean the Revo is sweet and pretty technologically (sp?) advanced but with that comes a higher price tag. I would rather build the kit too instead of a RTR, and I have a 2 ch AM radio to get started with already, I would just have to get a better set of servos. Thanks for the info guys and keep it coming.
  3. K so Im thinking about getting back into R/C and Im not much into racing them, although I like speed (old r/c was a nitro GT10) but Im thinking about going monster truck. My "nephew" just got a Traxxas Revo for his birthday and its pretty sweet, the suspension is set up like an indy car with the inboard horizontal shocks. It does however have a ton of sag, and sits pretty low. Im leaning more towards an HPI savage SS with the big motor. I mean its a bigger truck, more power, I like the height of the suspension better, it seems to be built tougher. I dunno what are you guys opinions I know some of you are R/C guys (and gals). :ermm:
  4. paddle masters??? Suppose to be paddles for mud and snow. I guess alot of guys use them in coal and stuff too.
  5. Ya as long as you can hone the cylinders to clean them up and still have an acceptable piston to wall gap and good ring end gap then you can get away with just re-ringing.
  6. hmm girly eclipse...manly pink wheels....
  7. Too bad honda made a crappy 4 stroke. Id much rather see them just bring the old 250R back with a little new technology. If it wasnt for all the damn 2 stroke banning 250Rs would still be kicking ass in the pro ranks. Ohwell theres still the yammy 450, not my first choice in quads, but a 4 stroke to be reckoned with.
  8. I was into it awhile back, bought RC10GT with a prototype CV motor and stinger pipe. It was fun driving the truck before I bought it but when I finished paying my friend for it, the damn thing was funked up and it was either he fixed it or I got my money back...long story short I got my money back. Id love to get back into it though, but between my shee and all my car/truck projects I just cant find the time or money yet. Someday... Anywho did any of you guys see the new HPI buggy its like 1.5 scale or something F*cking huge bastard with a weed eater motor. They got some cool vids of it on the site.
  9. "your such a cunt!"....although my g/f is used to it now.
  10. now would I be looking for an automotive upholstrey shop or like sewing moms couch cushions back together upholstrey shop?
  11. I got the stanley aluminum stapler sharpshooter I beleive and some 1/4" staples (smallest they had) and the thing is so weak and the staples have flat tips, Im thinking air stapler with some pointed staples. I already have an air stapler but no air so I would have to do it at work. I dunno it just seems to be a P.I.A trying to line it up perfect and get all the wrinkles out. And it was the rubber material I was trying to staple to and it just about stoped the staples dead when they hit the plastic pan.
  12. ok so was it really needed for you to read the title and see alcoholics spot then post in it saying you dont drink. If your trying to make a point I dont really care
  13. Can I have a trail worthy banshee thats capable of 90+ mph? ok so lets be logical here, so I have a stock for stock motor with a uni filter and t-5s, so my bike is quick but still tops out around the 70, so can I mod my bike to be able to gear it for 90+ top speeds but still have the grunt for trails. The way I see it, its all about gearing and mods only get you to your top speed faster so with stock gearing and a ton of mods your still gonna go somewhere near stock top speed, so all In all I am wondering what I can do to my motor and shit to be able to be where I am at now on the trails ( powercurve of stock motor with T-5 pipes) yet be able to do it with a taller gear for more top speed?
  14. SAND SAND SAND, rough grit to light grit, take out all the deep scratches, then make the whole thing in a fine rough stage, enough to hold paint but not too scratchy that it shows through, and clean clean clean especially if you used "armorall" type polishes on your plastic. Prep is the most important part to painting anything (cars, bikes, quads ect.) If you do it right the paint will hold and not flake off. and you need a flexible paint.
  15. So whats your favorite drink, what do you do when your lit, gotta smoke with your alcohol. just let loose any crazy drunken stories can be told here. This is the thread for the alcoholics
  16. Ya the 2:1 carb is just unreasonably priced for what you get. Grab a set of T-5s these pipes will make your stock bike a rocket from the bottom to the top, and they respond better to porting then the t-6s. Next I would get a good trail port and a timing plate. I dont know if I would sink the cash into a set of aftermarket a arms if your not going wider but a good set of shocks is a great idea, the stock front shocks suck when it comes to ledges, ruts, and fallen trees. You did pick a good tire I have the 20" razr2s on my bike and god damn do these things hook, prolly the best tire I have ridden on a banshee with. Invest in a pro flow kit, and an outwear. For trails I would suggest a foam style filter over a gauze set up, but its a pretty much your choice. And most definetly get some skids especially a swing arm skid, Like said about the sproket and rotor sit waaaaay low on a banshee and those crappy stock tube thingies are just weak garbage. I know I restated alot of stuff but just trying to reinforce the other guys opinions with my own personal knowledge.
  17. chase...why dont you just whip one up graphics wizard...lol while your at it Ill take a Jose Cuervo set.
  18. I guess plastic renew works good, for white plastics some comet power and a brillo pad or such works good, and if all else fails some fusion paint but you gotta do alot of prep to get the fusion to work right. Its held up good on my tank and rad shroud suffered some small gas spills fine only bad part is where the seat rubs and thats a given. My only complaint is I couldnt find some clear coat fusion paint and the finish without clear is kinda rough looking.
  19. I always thought black wrinkle frame with orange fenders and the maier silver carbon fiber tank and rad cover would look pretty sweet
  20. Ok so I got my pimp confederate flag seat cover from ebay, Ive heard all about how you install these things, So I tear my old cover off go out and buy me a nice aluminum heavy duty staple gun and some 1/4" staples, let that bioch sit out in the sun all day and when I get it all set up to go on the damn staples barely penetrate the plastic? So whats the deal? Do I need some super staples, a stronger stapler or what? Next step im gonna take the air stapler to work and slam like 5000 staples in this bitch its pissing in my cereal to have to ride on a bare foam seat cause I cant get this cover on. ::
  21. so when does everyone hit up the chat I swear no on is ever on when I am.
  22. SO! you wanted more pictures of my chick there you go
  23. anyone want a pair of Fly racing boots? I bought them cuz they were on sale and wore them they felt uncomfortable and big, but figured they would work out better once they broke in but I think they are way too big but now they are too used to return ( although I only wore them twice) if anyone wants them Ill let them go for 80 bones they are a size 13 so if you wear I size 14 I would say they will fit, I wear 13 shoes and they are supposed to be close to shoe size but these things are way bigger, and its so hard finding the shifter and the brake lever when you got an exta inch or so hangin off your foot.
  24. Fuck 4 pokes.... lol nice bikes guys but I dont think Ill ever own anothe 4 stroke. after owning them all my life I got a banshee now and love it, and Im gonna be buidling my dream bike a 250R , even with todays technology you still cant beat the power to weight ratio of a two stroke and youll never lose the fun factor of hitting the power band of a two stroke, and yes Ive rode the new yfz 450 so my opinio is not biased. I know the new 4 pokes are fast but the thrill of a two stroke and the amount of power that the make and can make compared to the weight can not be done with a 4 stroke. The only thing that can be comparible is the fact the fixing a yfz or trx 450 is probably close to fixing a banshee because the 4 bangers are hella expensive to fix and you have to buy 2 of everything to fix a banshee. haha
