cdwood37 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I built a plus 4 to accomodate my 421 cub and it works damn good, it seems to be a happy medium it will still wheelie pretty damn fierce on pavement but i don't ride much of that just to ge to where i am going. i vote plus 4 Quote
wesw Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 wild west welding can make you one chrome moly i paid 236 shipped for my "other" one. not my +4. not chrome but if you can find a cheap chromer your set and wayne does a nice job of fabing stuff up. Quote
Blue Duece Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Well.. what would you recommend then? I see you are running a -2 with your 12-port... isnt it a little sketchy? 508701 if your going to haul your shee out to the dunes get a longer swing arm, but for trails and mx, or desert shorten it up, driving a station wagon over whoops is a mother fucker Quote

watkins Posted April 28, 2006 Author Report Posted April 28, 2006 Has any one ordered a swinger from GRR? Does it come with the carrier? How would you compare it with Quicksands Products? I know hes much cheaper than quicksand. Quote
ellison445 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 I think Bigboybanshee has one from them Has any one ordered a swinger from GRR? Does it come with the carrier? How would you compare it with Quicksands Products? I know hes much cheaper than quicksand. 509103 Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 http://www.metaltechproducts.com/ very nice swingers, remeber you get what you pay for Quote
Ducman Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 If you are going to ride anything other than sand don't go over a +4. If you dont mind using the stock axel carrier, then the swingarms in the link below are hard to beat as far a price and quality. I'm very happy with my +4 that I got from the swingarm shop off e-bay. ( Swingarm Shop) As for a paddles combo that will go good with a +4 swinger and a 12 port stroker, I would recommend the 21x21x8 10 paddle Skat Trak Extremes. Rockey Mountain ATV sells them for a good price. Quote

Justintoxicated Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Watkins I know someone with a LSR +2 for sale if your interested. Send me a PM. I personaly like the front end to come up easily, but not ridiculusly easy. Controllable is what I like. I like to jump a bit too, if you get a +4 jumping will be a little more dificult as well but I don't know if you care about that. I think +2 would be good all around duner. +4 will gear you more towards drag racing but is still very dunable. If you plan to change to a cub later though I would definatley recomend the +4. the +2 is perfect for my setup, but I may have to switch to a +4 in the future when I get a 4mil cub, I'm thinking to try it first though. Geoff Posted April 30, 2006 Report Posted April 30, 2006 (edited) I don't know much, but a buddy has cub cylinders with a +4 and it wills till rip the front end up but is controlable. Another buddy has a shee with a +4 and your normal boltons with t-6's and aboth these bike will trail ride just fine and go down into the trees fine here in the northwest. I just got a shee and it has a +6(not my choice) but it seems alright. I can still trail ride but you have to pay attention or you might bend some rims. It will still pull the front but nothing crazy. I would do a +4 and then you pretty much never need to buy another unless you want to drag. It's good all around and you'll be set for future mods. Just my .02, but like I said I don't know much. Fast500, thanks for the info. I just got a shee and after this summer I'm probably going to take it apart and see exactly what I got. When I do that I might have some port work done and freshen up the top end so I know were I sit. I might have Passion do the work if I go that route and your port job sounds kinda like what I'm looking for. Later Geoff Edited April 30, 2006 by Geoff Quote
