2bzy2p Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 i know v-forces do help.. they give u more constint power instead of outanowhere power like stock reeds do! Quote
hittintrees srh Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 (edited) its all about the pivot point...find that, control the throttle/brake, and your good to go like it was said before practice practice practice! Edited April 25, 2006 by hittintrees srh Quote
BilDaKid Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 I think there was a great article on \\\"How to ride wheelies\\\" in last months Dirt Wheels. I hate those stupid articles. If you\\\'re near some dunes, learn there since it won\\\'t hurt that bad when you fall off. Don\\\'t be afraid to scrape the grab bar a little (i said a little, don\\\'t grind it off and break your subframe). Also, about 3 to 4 beers will help out tremendously. This is all assuming you have the required modifications to properly do a wheelie; the Boost Bottle(for that immediate throttle respose there so known for), and the rainbow colored power bands(they\\\'re less harsh than the strait, i mean single colored ones.) And always remember to wear your hat backwards when attempting wheelies for the first time. Quote

Banshee~ Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 (edited) I stand up and then put it into 4th gear. Then give it gas until its right under the powerband. Then stab the throttle and back like crazy. I can ride a wheelie for 150 ft. like that maybe longer. Edited April 25, 2006 by Banshee~ Quote
Dead Op Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 I practiced all last summer and now it is easy, you give me a strip and I'll wheelie for as long as you want Quote
MILO Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 i used to ride wheelies all day on my kx80 years ago, but haven't mastered it yet on the shee either. but just like on the bike, practice-practice-and more practice. i think blippin the throttle and feathering the brake is the trick. soon you'll be the one being asked 'how do you ride wheelies so good on your shee?' ellison445 Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 lets see some video from all you banshee wheelie riders Quote
bansheeseat$$ Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Not a vid but it's a good pic. Quote
Motoman991 Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 my longest wheelie so far is around a mile. i did it going down my street. i had to set it down because i couldnt make this turn on the road on the back two wheels. the best way to get better is to keep practicing and find the balance point. i also find it easier to stand on the pegs when you wheelie so you can shift your weight easier Quote
pipebomb Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 it's bit of a pain to find the balance point on a shee cause it's so far back. but you'll get it. Quote
