Walleye Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 So after a week long of trying to figure out why its not getting spark after rebuild the topend, i checked continuity on almost every wire! So i took the tors apart and checked around on it, and checked continuity and no resitance in one. and tried to fgure it out and found that the throttle wasnt fully closing, and the throttle cable was too tight, so i loosened it and viola it got sparks! i never touched that. didnt quite get it why that happened. but at least now i know what to do next time! That thing is very picky! All is good and running good, will actually take it for a ride tomorrow instead of parking it and idling. Quote

DIRTMAN350 Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 Yes you can buy the elim kit if ya want. Look up Jeff at FAST Racing and he can hook you up with the kit plus install if you are worried about installing it yourself. If you want to bypass it just unplug the little black box under the tank on the left side. Quote
375hp banshees Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 " If you want to bypass it just unplug the little black box under the tank on the left side" my buddy has an '06(stock) & it just died no spark tried un plugging black box & still no spark if you blip the throttle it 1/2 fires & dies. pull started it blipping the throttle & it started & ran fine the rest of the day is there any thing else that needs to be un plogged?? (pulled throttle cover & micro sw. was clicking ??; no meeter w/ us ??) Quote
wooten Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 sorry to hack in on your thread but its that simple just unplugging them do you have to make any adjustments to the idle or anything..... Quote
watkins Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Just unplug the black box under the tank of the left side as stated above to bypass tors. However I would do what was suggested and get the elimination kit so you can get rid of the POS carb tops. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 You can just unplug it and keep the stock carb tops, free fix, but they are annoying... Good time to buy a yamaha factory clutch and ditcht he stock POS and get a parkign brake blockoff as well. I'd do the later before I invested in new carb tops if cost is an issue. Quote
wooten Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 went through and unplugged all the plugs for the TORS and it runs extremely well now thanks to all the help!!!! Quote
