we're taking my friend's Banshee to Cecil county this Friday and East Coast ATV said if you hold it maxed out its going to blow. We have a 16, 17 and 18 tooth sprocket but they said teh bike is just going to lean itself out top end and gernade. The bike always runs C16 with a programmable ignition and 35mm carbs. Is this true? Here's the bike:

Ill start off by saying "IM AN IDIOT!"

last year I was running my shee against another in 1/8 mile passes Knowing that my bike wasnt Jetted exactly right. (little too lean) It ran strong but I knew it wasnt safe for long. I made about 10-15 full passes in the matter of 15 minutes. Finally the thing crapped out. Now I knew it was time for a rebuild soon so I didnt mind granading it. I went to kick it over and the kick start was stuck as if the engine was seized. So I figured hell I blew the motor, It was fun while it lasted. Brought the pick up in and hauled the shee out.

Getting home that night I pulled of my cool head and everything looked A0k Up top. No detonation marks or anything. So i figured maybe a ring got caught up, Pulled the pipes to get a peak, Still nothing.....

Now moving the kick start by hand the rotating assembly spun freely. Sealing off ports and everything. I put the thing back together and tried kicking it over, nothing, check spark and I had none.. Pulling off the cover I discovered I had Sheered off my woodruff key and the flywheel had wiggled out. Made me happy to know That I could fix that small problem and get a few more beatings in b4 I had to rebuild.

Heres the kick in the ass.

When I pulled the head off some coolant had leaked into the cylinder and left corrode and rust in my cylinder walls. and I need to rebuild now anyway.

Moral of the story:

Ride it till it breaks.

When you ride it

Try to break it!!
