korndawg Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I painted my old ones myself, and they came out looking pretty decent. I beadblasted them, hit them with a layer of dupli-color metalcast ground coat, then a layer of the metalcast red, then i hit them with clear coat. They came out looking pretty decent. Quote
ellison445 Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Make sure you use a couple coats of clear, You get roosted one time that paint is gone!!! I have seen it happen to several people I ride with Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 I know a guy who did his whole frame with automotive paint. You should probably sand down/blast them, then get a can of whatever you want from the local auto parts store and then clear coat it Quote
sheefreak Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Does anyone know right off where I can get paint that matches the factory a-arm and frame paint from a 99(not sure what other years this paint was used on)? Quote
