I know, most people will say, stop being a cheap ass and buy race gas. my question is why? what's wrong is octane boost? does in just not work? or not work as advertised? I don't have any experience with it personaly, so hopefully some of you guys have.

Okay... PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong. If a bottle of octane boost says "114 octane" on it, that means you would have 114 octane if you ran straight octane boost without mixing it with gas. If you mix it with fuel according to what the bottle says "1 bottle to 10 gals of gas", you raise the octane of your fuel 1 point. One point means it would only go from 91.3 to 91.4 for example.

No?

octane boost is a waste of money, how much did it cost for a bottle like $8 or something around that? you could buy like a gallon and a half of 114 for that. mixing that in with 10 gallons of 94 will raise the octane more than 1 point

In most cases yes, it's bullshit. There is a octane booster from Torco that actually works though. It's very popular with the turbo/supercharger guys that don't want to run race fuel but need the octane. I've used it in my Turbo Mustang with great success...over 20psi on pump gas + 1/4 can of Torco Race Fuel Concentrate.
