peterlocal22 Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 Whats up everyone, hows your banshee at jumping? Anyone have a banshee thats awsome at jumping, like todays 450's? If you do what makes it a good jumper, hows it setup? If you have some pics that would be great too. Im going to start working on my shee this spring. I want for it to be a better jumper, no I want it to be a great jumper. Always loved my banshee but I hate it at jumping. I dont know maybe I should by one of them sucky 450's. HELP cant believe I just said that. Quote
dawarriorman Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 Hmm, well Im pretty sure that the new 450s can't change the laws of physics, so they shouldn't be able to "jump any better", although I don't know what you mean by that. They probably land better, but a banshee would too with better suspension. Quote
peterlocal22 Posted January 13, 2006 Author Report Posted January 13, 2006 thanks for the response. ok so first things first look into new shocks. Now does the weight of the banshees nose have anything to do with its poor ability to jump, or does that not play any real role? Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 i would say wider a arms like +2 +1 would help alot Quote
peterlocal22 Posted January 13, 2006 Author Report Posted January 13, 2006 ok so we have new shocks and new +2+1 a arms, what else? Quote
jjfizzle51 Posted January 13, 2006 Report Posted January 13, 2006 personally i have stock shocks but i rode mx shee with elka piggyback triple rates its a world of a diffrence i think he had stock a-arms though so i dont know about with longer ones Quote
Ls7colorado Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 wider rear axle or spacers, better tires, thats about all I can think of?? Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 +2+1 A-Arms, stock shocks, stock swinger, +2 rear end via billet spacers. Jumps just fine. Quote
jjfizzle51 Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 nice bike big red looks like a fun riding spot Quote
Shee-Male Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 Yea, I'm with big red, once you get used to giving it a little "blip" to keep the front up I t jumps just fine!, I've even heard alot of people mention how the Banshee loves to jump. I've run mine for 2 years with the stock suspention and it was fine, but with the new wider suspention its just better, and corners awsome! Jumping comes with practice and knowing your machine. Quote
Shee-Male Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 i have stock suspension with yfz450 front shocks, works fine for me 459183[/snapback] Until you smash your melon and give the quads a bad rap!...Dumbass! Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 14, 2006 Report Posted January 14, 2006 +4 swingarm with stockshock. quicksand +1/+1 a arms with elka dual rates. jumps good up the hills at the hillclimbs. but i wouldnt take it to a mx track..big jumps are for 450's. Quote
