jjfizzle51 Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 hey guys i just got my cool head on and like preatty much everyone with a shee i want it even fast ( dont have a damn clue why im probley going to kill myself as it is on that thing ) but now i have some questions on carbs first off what size do you think is best, second i heard once you do the carbs it breaks down everytime you ride it and this was from a pro racer , and third where would you get the addaptors so your air filter actually fit on the new carbs thanks for any help Quote
iceman Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 id say you could run some 33s or 34s and i dont know why someone told you your quad is gonna break down everytime you ride after you get carbs...thats just stupid. if you never ride through water you could just eliminatet the airbox completely and get clamp on filters. if you do ride in wet places sometimes i think the stock boot will fit over bigger carbs...? maybe not. not too sure. but you can get billet intakes from most performance shops. modquad has them, alba has them. they arent hard to find. im thinking you only need the bigger manifolds if you have 34-36mm carbs. i think the 33s or 34s would fit in the stock boot. someone else can answer that for you. FIRST BANSHEE Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 if you just want to buy carbs once I would get it ported also.I believe if you go with anything bigger than a 30mm, your going to hurt your bottom end and not gain much on top. if you port you can run alot more carb. what kind of riding do you do most. mouse Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 i just put 34s on mine and u have to get new boots, get the clamp on filters, and the throto cables for the carbs your going to get. i dont know if this is true but the guy that is doing my moter work told me i had to get new reeds to get the v force 2 but they discontinued them so i got the 3s and he has to modify my intakes. but as long as its fast i dont care. got the carbs for x-mas and theres a lot u have to do besides just through the carbs on and start it up Quote
