I just got a Trinity 35mm 2 into 1 setup, and need some help on jetting. Mods as follows: T6's, Noss cool head w/ 19 cc domes Adj. timing @ +5 right now, K&N airfilter.

I ride @ between 800 ft. and 1500 ft. elev.

Can you guys give me some advice on jet sizes and needle? Also waiting on DVF 3's. Will I have to change jet sizes for the increased air flow of these reeds?

Once again, thanks in advance for any help.

I sent this same email to Toomey Racing and this was their reply:

No, I am sorry, the only recommendation I could give you in all honesty is

to return that carb to from whom you bought it. We tested that carb and

manifold and although looking sharp, it was a 5hp loser on all combinations

we tried. It is pretty hard to beat the stock carbs with our jet kit, it is

really optimized.

Thank you from all of us at

Toomey Racing USA, Inc.

Does anyone else who uses this system feel the same way?

Thanks.

The 35pwk will be a lot better than stock carbs. Sounds like Toomey wants you to buy their jet kit. Throw a 200 in there with DEK needle on the 3rd clip. 48-55 pilot and you will be good to go.

I believe I have some mains and pilots laying around for the 35mm pwk if youd like them.

My shee is ported, cool head with 19cc domes, k&n filter, and t-4 pipes at 1000 ft. I run a 62 pilot, DEK needle on the 4th clip down and a 235-240 main. If you have problems getting it dialed in, pm rocketpig. He's the online tech guy? for trinity racing and was able to tell me where to start on the jetting which ended up being very close to where it is now. The best part of the single carb is the ease of jetting it, loosen the big bolt on the bowl and you can change mains in about a minute. Good luck and when I went to vforce 2 reeds from boysen, I had to go up a size on the main, everything else was fine.

j28d, where'd you find PWK jets that big? I saw somewhere (think it was Duncan), that had 235's but I've never seen 240's.

-P.S. I could also use some mains in the 200+ range.

I switched to a single and need to order pretty much everything near the max size since it's on a ported +4 stroker. Dunno what I'll end up at but prolly at least a 210.

with that +4 stroker you might want to try a eek needle with 55 pilot with a 230 main. 230 is the biggest I saw in the catologe. Wallrat. This shop on valleyview and right accros the street from cypress college sells main jets for 2 bucks a piece. I dont know if he knows what they go for everywhere else lol. Its behind the bbq noodles rest.
