  1. I have an '03 Banshee that I've been trying to sell locally with no luck, so I figured I'd list it here. Toomey TR-6 pipes, NOSS coolhead w/19cc domes, K&N air filter, Trinity Stage IV 2 into 1 intake w/ 35mm carb, Vforce 3 reed valves with no riding on them, ITP Holeshot XCR's with one season on them, IMS handguards, AC pro pegs, bumper 6 pack rack, Renthal handle bars. I still have the stock carbs too. Not looking to part out, need to sell the whole bike. Email me @ cprobert@triad.rr.com for up to date pics, I can't get them to load on here. I have it listed locally for $3500, will sell it to anyone on here for 3k with pick up. Thanks. -Chris
  2. Yeah, the 13 tooth front sprocket will give you exactly what you said you're looking for. I'm about your size and run that gearing and it's a helluva difference. Good for trails, MX, etc.
  3. Depends on where you're at in Raleigh Durham, and if you're willing to travel at all. I don't know of anything locally besides Busco Beach down that way, but I live in Winston Salem, and there's some decent places up here. I only ride trails, so I can't help you on MX. Uwharrie Forest is real good. It's rocky in places, but has some good hills, and the trails are pretty fast. There's usually alot of people there on the weekends. There's also a place that used to be public, but the neighbor's had them shut down. Now you have to be "friends" of the family. It's about 40 mins north of me. PM me if you want and I'll tell you how to get up there. Brushy Mountain is about an hour northwest of W.S., haven't been there yet, but hope to soon. I hear the trails are real good, but the MX tracks are beat. Not too far south of Charlotte is TNT motorsports park. Their trals are real tight for a Banshee, but they also have 2 MX tracks that allow quads on them. There's places to ride in N.C., most of them require an all day road trip, no matter where you're at.
  4. We are looking for a rear rim for a 2003 GSXR 1000. Found a bunch on Ebay for 2004,2005, and 2006, but the width is 1/2" wider than 2003. Don't know if this will work ie: chain lining up, ect. Thanks.
  5. I put the 35mm kit with 2 into1 carb setup on my bike this winter, along with a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket. My mods are: Toomey T6's +5 adv. timing NOSS cool heads 19cc domes K&N The new setup has 100% more bottom end now. Excellent for hillclimbs, trails, etc. I do have to shift alot more now that I run out of gear quicker, but it's worth all the added bottom end. My power band is not as smooth now, but i'm looking for a cure for that. My .02 anyway.
  6. NOSS Machine - Great product, excellent customer service. You cant go wrong.
  7. I finally got it to work. Thanks for the tip on the Blaster cable. I'll keep it for when this braided line stretches.
  8. I'm installing the Trinity 2 into 1 C.V. carb set up and the throttle cable that came with the kit leaves alot of play at the lever, even at the tightest adjustment you can make. Did any of you guys that run this set up have the same problem? Is this supposed to be this loose? It takes probably 3/4" of movement before the slide starts to lift. Thanks in advance for any feedback. -NECK
  9. I just moved from that area about a year ago. There's also 2 ski resorts in Somerset, that are nice, but probably not busy or too expensive in July. Seven Springs Mountain Resort www.7springs.com and Hiden Valley Resort www.hiddenvalleyresort.com. I know Seven Springs has hotel rooms and the condos you can rent - a good idea if you got a bunch of people going in on it together. I know Hidden Valley got rooms, not sure about the chalets, skied there but never stayed. Seven Springs is cool, real nice bar, HUGE game room, pool, etc.
  10. I sent this same email to Toomey Racing and this was their reply: No, I am sorry, the only recommendation I could give you in all honesty is to return that carb to from whom you bought it. We tested that carb and manifold and although looking sharp, it was a 5hp loser on all combinations we tried. It is pretty hard to beat the stock carbs with our jet kit, it is really optimized. ST Thank you from all of us at Toomey Racing USA, Inc. Does anyone else who uses this system feel the same way? Thanks.
  11. I just got a Trinity 35mm 2 into 1 setup, and need some help on jetting. Mods as follows: T6's, Noss cool head w/ 19 cc domes Adj. timing @ +5 right now, K&N airfilter. I ride @ between 800 ft. and 1500 ft. elev. Can you guys give me some advice on jet sizes and needle? Also waiting on DVF 3's. Will I have to change jet sizes for the increased air flow of these reeds? Once again, thanks in advance for any help.
  12. I think what the guy meant was the longer manifold worked well with bikes (2 strokes) that had to be kept in the power band as opposed to 4 strokes which don't need to be kept revved. Does that make any sense? Either way thanks for the feedback.
  13. I'm looking into a new carb set up and trying to figure out what's the difference between the Trinity C.V. 35mm 2 into 1, and this other one I found. I'll put the link at the bottom. First off, what does PWK stand for and how does that differ from Constant Velocity? Also, this one from Yamaha's manifold is alot longer and I'm told that this application is better for the banshee because it will produce more bottom end at a high rev. I'm looking to go with the Gorr woods port also, if this makes a difference with the carb application. Thanks for any advice in advance. http://www.kdcycle.com/partsdatabase.html?prod_id=610
  14. Contemplating a new set up this winter. I'm loking for more bottom end, where i ride, I'm lucky to get into 4th, let alone 5th and 6th. My current mods: T6's, 280 mains, 19cc cool heads, adv timing 5 deg. K&N air filter, that's about it performance wise. I'm looking into reeds and gearing, they're still stock. Would this be enough to notice a big difference, or do I need to start looking for a whole new set up (exhaust, etc.) ? Also, if I go to 22" rear tires, is a 1 tooth reduction in the front good enough to compensate for that? Thanks for any advice in advance.
  15. If you're going all the way out towards Slippery Rock, you can stop by Cranberry. There's about 200 acres out there, the owner doesn't care as long as you don't litter on his land. It's mostly flat trails, a couple medium sized hill climbs, fun the first couple times. It was a little rutted out when I was there last, but I heard he smoothed it out. You can get into your top end out there if its still the same. Hatfield and McCoy's only 4 hrs away. Worth the trip and cheap as hell. It would be a good weekend trip.
  16. The Sony Plant out near New Stanton was good to ride as of last summer. 99screaminshee probably knows it being out from Fayette county. They got good trails, some hill climbs, kind of short but real steep. It's on Technology Drive exit, same as the Sony plant. Bear right off the exit go to the light and make a right. About 100 yards on the left there's a big place to park, you'll see the trucks and trailers. On that side of the road they're doing construction, but they had some good trails and on the other side of the road is a farmer's land, they don't care, I've never seen anyone there, just don't disrespect the guys land. Follow the dirt road back in between the fields and there's a bunch of trails there too. Derry and Blairsville got good places to ride, it depends on how far you want to drive. The Sony plant's definitely worth the short drive, though. I think it's 119S out of Greensburg to the exit. I know some other places up there just let me know how far you want to drive.
  17. I got AC pro pegs too. Dirt-Deals.com. Glad to hear every one else's don't fit just right! Like'em though. Right around $200. You can fab a bracket for the kicker side pretty easy to help it fit better.
  18. Just got my head and domes from dlnoss and installed them pretty quickly. Excellent customer service, too. Haven't fired it up yet due to other mods in process, but compression is there.
  19. My clutch cable sucks and I'm wondering before I put new cables on if a hyd. clutch kit would be better in the long run. Thanks in adv for feed back.
  20. Did he turn the hose around backwards like the instructions said?
  21. I just moved to NC recently also. You do have to search, but there's places to ride. There's a place in Chester, SC, pretty much right across the line from charlotte, called TNT motorsports park. I don't know if they have a web site, but they have 4 or 5 mx tracks. Quads are only allowed on 1 track that was specifically made for quads. That specific track was closed for renovation when I was there right before christmas, but they said it would be open soon. They also got a flat track w/ a smaller table top you can ride. They have a good trail loop, but it's kind of tight for a Banshee, manicured, though. Also there's a place called Forest Games up in the mountains, about an hour north of Greensboro. They got a lot of trails, $10 to ride, real cool people up there. When I was up there after Christmas they were supposed to be getting their trails serviced the next weekend. They had some too-deep mud holes, and some big ruts from the grizzlies and shit, but it was worth a short drive and $10. There's another place in Hickory, NC , called Brushy Mountain Motorsports park. They got a good web site, but they got a decible level and WILL enforce it, Quads ain't allowed on the mx tracks, I don't think. From what I've heard, it's not worth the trip mto get turned away. If anyone knows different, let me know.
  22. I just got back from Hatfield and McCoy trails in WV, If you are in driving distance and don't go it's your own damn fault. I met a buddy of mine there from PA, we were only there for one actual day of riding, plus half of that was on hold cause of rain, but the drive was worth it. We stayed at The Depot in Man, WV and rode the browning fork trails. 114 miles of no ruts, hill climbs, 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear, for those that ride woods in the east know it's hard to even get a taste of their top end on trails. We are planning a trip over memorial day weekend, probably Thurs night thru Monday morning. There's tons of places for atv riders to stay, riding on the roads is permitted. I would strongly recommend chassis and swing arm skid plates, cause it gets a little rocky, at times. It's too cold right now, but come spring it'll be sweet. We rode for about 4 hours, never got hung up once, once again trail riders how many times does that happen? Don't mean to sound like an advertiser, but it's well worth how ever far you got to drive.
