Why is my banshee so slow?

Hi .... i used to own a kx250 and i sold it and got a banshee..... why is this thing soooo slow compared to my dirtbike.... even the top end seems slow

Got to mod it a bit to get it to compare to a 2 wheeler.

Is it new or used. stock or modified. A dirty air cleaner will slow it right down.plugged mufflers on the stock pipes will slow it down also.you have to ride a banshee hard to get the most out of it.when my buddy first got his banshee I could beat him on my 250r, when he learned how to ride it, I would take him through third and then he was gone.

umk....the banshee is stock and yea i know how to ride a two stroke....i used to race motocross and before that i had a blaster. its kinda how i grew up ya know. anyways i am thinking about selling this thing and getting me another 250 dirtbike or maybe a yz450f. I took my kx250 to the dunes near my house and i beat the socks off of many modified banshees,raptors,z400,450r,predators, and some yzf450's in drag races......well my bike was modified also but they had the traction so.........

Any one looking for a good 2003 banshee......and the twin airfilter is very clean its the red and black and is in very great shape. It has a set of +2+1 a-arms also

yeah.....a banshee weighs close to...what...398lbs and my dirtbike weighed close to 200....

okay...imagine taking a yfz450 motor and putting it into a dirtbike frame....=yz450f=superfast=probably death for me

get it ported get some pipes and get ride of your airbox get a new filter and it will rip and maybe its because ur gay ass is riding it

I ran 76 on dirt this past weekend with a trail port job and pipes , stock gearing.

I checked it with my garmin etrack

I can't beleive you gave up a 250 motocross bike for a banshee.

 

Don't get me wrong, I DO have a banshee, but I also have a KX 250 and a KX 500, and I like them WAYYYYYY better than the banshee, especially the KX 500.

 

Just a 250 motocross bike will smoke a banshee easy, wheelie better, spin better, and accelerate faster. The only thing it wont have is the top speed of the banshee, but it wont be much slower top speed wise.

 

You could always get a KX 500 and easily smoke ANYTHING as far as 4 wheelers/bikes, no matter wtf they have for (practicle) mods. The only thing that will stand a chance will be another 500cc motocross bike
