  1. I need the spec for the gap between the flywheel and the pickup. I dont see it in the service manual
  2. I burned a hole in the right piston towing another broken banshee in the sand and have the cases split . I am wondering if there are any weak points to look at in the trans while it is apart . it shifted great but I want to make sure everything is good while it is apart.
  3. Has anyone tried this temp gauge? It seems like it would be great for a banshee .I have already been using something like it from shindy but i think I like the looks of this better CRJ Performance
  4. I rode this weekend in 45 -50 degree weather and ran a lot better than when it was 80-85 during the summer. Is there any info or formula for jet size and temp ? If it runs better in the cold it must be rich when it's warm right ? I have stock carbs with 28.5 and 300 and pro design cleaner with k n power lid Water temp was 150-160 I am talking about the upper half of the throttle Thanks for any help Jim
  5. I removed the tors system from my banshee and tapped the carbs and removed the bur from inside and thought everything was good . The slides work perfect when it is not running but stick about where it starts to come on the pipe every time . There is no way you can make either slide stick not running no matter how slow you move the thumb throttle they work perfect. I wish I had not removed the tors now because I really screwed up a ride up north . I rode about 45 miles keeping it in third gear most of the time and off the pipe. . Any thoughts on a reason for this to happen ?? The removal kit was Vito's and the motor was just rebuilt +.030, fatty pipes, vforce 3 reeds, 21 cc domes Thanks for any help Jim
  6. I have used Lakes Motorsports and I am very happy with their work they also did a trail port for me
  7. I ran 76 on dirt this past weekend with a trail port job and pipes , stock gearing. I checked it with my garmin etrack
  8. I would have thought that the gauge or sending unit for it would have to be installed in the larger coolant line (aprox 3/4 ) and not in a 3/8 line. I am running 165 in the trail @60 outside temp. If the trails are really tight so im moving slow it can climb to 200. Climbing big sand hills puts a lot of heat into it also. One run up bull gap in MI. puts me at 195 from 165 I am still surprised that the banshee temp will climb so much at an idle even with engine ice and a aluminum impeller I am using a shindy lcd temp gauge in the line that comes out of the water pump and I am using a 9 volt lithium smoke alarm battery to power it
  9. What pressure should be used for trail riding with the Razr-2 tires(front/rear) I have Douglas .190 Red Label wheels Also for trail riding how well do the Razr-1 radial tires work ? Thanks for any help Jim
  10. Dunedemon , I bought the spring YOU told me to get...LOL "Jim, I would suggest you go with our part # 891.0072.1 rear spring" Research & Development Technical Support Eibach Springs, Inc. from Magic Racing. I just got around to getting it put on because my Banshee was working pretty good on the trails and I knew how it behaved stock. Now I have to get used to it again and I already have a hard time keeping up with the bikes in the rough trails. I usualy ride with 3 RM250 bikes and they drive right away from me in the whoops. Thanks Dunedeomn Jim
  11. Thanks for the info guys. I have not tried out this new spring in the trails yet,i'm supposed to go ride this weekend and just wanted some advise.I hit a small stump last time out and went over the bars for the second time this year...damn that hurts. My shoulder still wakes me up at night and its been 4 weeks I also installed a steering stabilizer from Magic Racing, that should help too
  12. Can anyone give me some advice on settings for the rear shock rebound and dampening I ride trails in MI. and have just installed a stiffer spring on my 2003 Banshee. I weigh 245 and have a clark 5.5 gal. gas tank also The stock rear spring is rated at 5.4 kg/mm (308lbs/in) and the new one is rated at 7.2kg/mm (403lbs/in). A lot of the trails are pretty whooped out and I know these settings could help Thanks for any help Jim
