endofitall9 Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 Down trying to get on at the local dealership and asked the guy when the new 450s would be on the floor he said january early february also says he had the privlages of riding one... pretty much said theyre immaculate cant wait to see what they do i love seeing all the big companys stepping up the game......also its on the suzuki site now if noone knew Quote
midnite Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 I bet the suzook flies around a mx track, but if I was going to get a 4-stroke it would be a raptor 700r. Bombardier also has a new 450 racer coming out [yet to be seen], which is rumored to be either an efi 450 rotax 4-stroke, or a twin cylinder, efi 2-stroke [no shit]. Bombardier owns evenrude, which designed the e-tec 2-stroke technoligy for their outboard boat motors, which have cleaner emissions than a 4-stroke outboard boat motor believe it or not. I hope bomb goes with the e-tec 2-stroke design. Quote
BigRed350x Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 Of course your dealer would tell you they are a nice bike, he wants you to spend lots of money and buy one. Quote
DemonShee Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 (edited) I bet the suzook Edited October 22, 2005 by DemonShee Quote
hittintrees srh Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 Now your talking my language. If anyone has the balls to actually do a new 2-stroke, it would be Bomb. They at one time were working with ATK in Utah on some prototype quads. One was a 1000cc 4 stroke twin which the bottom end of the Outlander 800 is off the 1000cc touring snowmobile 4 stroke motor. So that came to pass then. The other was actually a 600 2 stroke twin. I dont think you will see a 600, but a 400-450 is deffinatly a possibility. They also have access to an Aprilia 450 twin 4 stroke that puts out a rumored 70hp stock. to see this motor, click here: Aprilia motor As for the Zuker, I think it will be a great quad but still, I would go with the 700R. There is no replacement for displacement. Great MX'r I am sure but I dont give a rats a$$ about MX machines. 428506[/snapback] Damn dude, that motors's f**kin sick. Quote
super88_banshee Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 The headlight placement on it is ugly thou Quote
iceman Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 (edited) i doubt bombardier would make the 2 stroke. even if it is cleaner. the mx track is just too dominated by 4 strokes. it would be sweet though. maybe though. and i think the new 450 is supposed to be like 7k. endofitall9 Posted October 22, 2005 Author Report Posted October 22, 2005 As far as the headlight yeah it ugly but it really easy to remove and i bet theyll be making a sick hood for too long and as far as the dealer wanting me to buy it i grew up with him its not the hey buy this quad so i can make money from you type of friendship he rides a banshee too and still says the Lt-r is sick can't wait to ride it Quote

In the pro production class {where the big name racers and factory support are} you can only race a bike thats in production. Yamaha and honda pushed for the "production" rule, because they couldn't have their new 450's getting their asses handed to them on tracks by 20 year old 250r's. Anyway, I doubt I will ever buy a brand new bike. For the price of a new bike, a guy could buy a used banshee, 250r, and a quadzilla. Edited October 22, 2005 by midnite Quote

I bought a 96 Polaris Expres 2-smoke 300 for my wife that is more cherry than some new quads off the floor I have seen and I got my 02 Banshee for less than HALF of what i paid for my DS when it was new in 2001. I will have my Shee done and her quad, and a trailer to haul them in for less than what I gave for the stock DS. Yet alone after I finished modding the DS and My Shee when its done would SMOKE my DS Quote
