BdBanshee
Sometimes it does help to move the shifter up a notch. Walk around with the boots on at home to help break them in also. Good luck!
Wallynut
soak them down with water inside and out, put them on and mow the yard, that will break them in
odaen
move the shifter up a notch and just get use to riding with them. it will always be harder to shift with them vs shoes or hiking boots, but you'll get use to them.

Fireman-hott
I have tech 5's pain in the ass but adjust your shifter, I run gym shoes in the drags and my boots during the trail runs, adjust adjust adjust. Did I mention adjust.

rebelbanshee2
you shift by rocking your foot instead of pivoting at your ankle. Harder to do when sitting since you can rock your body. take an aggressive knees bent stance and its perfect
Otis
I tried movin the shifter up...I didn't like it at all... You may find that it's actually harder to shift.. higher shifter+ stiff boot= lotsa false neutrals. It was easier for me to just get used to riding with boots, then to move the shifter. I find that i dont put whole boot under the shifter, ...just the outer most inside of it. Too bad there isn't something to convert to GP style shifting.... rebelbanshee2
also try not to put your foot under the shifter, and just flick the side of the shifter with the side of your boot
tOj
Maybe look into getting an air shifter. Just kidding, it just takes some getting used to with boots.
Proquad101
I have a longer shifter and I moved it up one notch, I used to hit the false neutral all the time until I made those changes.
SANDSTAR
you def. need the shifter up a notch with boots. Pointing your toe at the ground when you are riding can be disasterous. You shift by lifting your whole boot off the peg real quick-like. You will get used to it, just takes time.
