ellison445 Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I got a hopped up Tmaxx for sale!!! Pm me if your interested!! Quote
. Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 save up your money and buy a revo......the technology is like banshees to blasters. I'm climbing over stumps and curbs that I wouldnt even of thought about with my t-maxx. Not to mention its a ton faster with the electronic transmission. Quote
dnhyoung Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I've got a couple of buddies that say the Revo is the way to go. Like "." said they way out perform the others. They said that they started with the t-max and the s-maxx, and quickly jumped up to the Revo. I'm seriously impressed with some of the Shit they can climb over with those things, and especially the availability of after market parts you can get for them. Kind of like the after market parts for a shee , if you can think of it, someone makes it. Quote
superchicken Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 (edited) ive got a like new sportmax with the two speed optionfor sale.with a bunch of goodies.pm me if your interested Edited May 6, 2005 by superchicken Quote
motohawk Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 (edited) It depends... The sportmax is a good truck. And it costs a tad over $300. All Traxxas products are good stock. I my self like the bigger 1/8 scale trucks. I am opening a hobby shop in a few months and I will specialize in Monster trucks. My favorite truck is my friends Monster GT. He has thrashed it since the first tank and it keeps on going. It now has over 5 gallons of fuel through it and it still hauls. I have an EMAXX that is fun for an electric and I have a Hot Bodies Dirt Demon 1/8 monster truck. That is a really fun truck. Also look into the HPI Savage 21 and also the 4.6. The 4.6 has a .28 engine, but you need a radio to put in it. There are good deals to be had on any truck. You cant go wrong with any Traxxas truck, but it would not be my first choice as I like the bigger/badder ones. Edited May 6, 2005 by motohawk Quote
racer714 Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 ive had 6 monsters, go with the savage, toughest one in my opinion! Quote
03LE Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 I got a Tmaxx, I love it runs great and easy to fix when stuff breaks plus parts are alot cheaper then revo's and some of the other trucks. I'd say ya need to play with em all before ya buy tho, I woulda prolly got a revo if I had played with one first. but for a beginner truck my maxx suits me fine. Quote
420 RACING Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Get the savage I have had alot of gas trucks and I ended up keeping the savage and an Ofna 9.5mbx the yellow one in the pics. Lots of parts for the savage mine is hooked the hell up, billet arms, extended frame. Quote
theeechozen1 Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Savage all the way, A savage will cut through a Revo like a warm knife through butta. That new 4.6 is the way to go! Quote
fast87 Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 Maybe i can help...i work at a hobby shop, have owned too many R/C's and know almost everything about each one, i own a savage now and have 2 gallon bags full of spare parts, and i need every one of em..for serious hardcore bashing you need lots of spares for a savage, but not as many as a t-maxx when thrashed equally, but both are great trucks..do you have a hobby shop nearby?? if you do then go there and see what they carry parts for or will in the near future, because that's what you want to get..if you are looking into racing and bashing both thencheck out the OFNA blazer SST, it is essentially an 1/8th scale buggy, with lower gearing, 2 sets of tires(one bigger than regular buggy tires but smaller and skinnier than maxx tires), and regular t-maxxsized tires/wheels, i don't think you can go wrong with this truck..comes fully RTR with everything but the obvious stuff..it is also based on the OFNA 9.5 violator platform, so if they stock 9.5 voilator parts 99% of them fit the blazer SST (called a truggy nowadays), anyway check out the OFNA forumsMy Webpagefor more info and ask some questions, i'm hyper7pbs on there, Later and good luck ~Mark~ Quote
