racer Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 i think sled fuckin rock. MX suspension with like shit tons more power. i just wish it didnt have to be soo cold to ride them, cause anything less than 75* sucks. Quote
twinzr900 Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 XC's suck balls. buy an arctic cat Quote
broke Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 AC guys are all the same. SO damn brand loyal. I got to race a few F7s this winter with my little MXZ and those that lost had every excuse in the world why my buzzard Ebay sled shouldn't have beat them. Quote
sikwidit'96 Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 xc's are pretty good but arctic cats are bada$$ got a 97 zrt600 Quote
Mr.Giggles Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I rode this for the winter, great sled. Quote
CowboyBanshee Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Ditch pickles anyway....grow some balls, buy a yami...a two stroke..then get creative.... Quote
cudaz101 Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 If you think a XC will do it for ya then go that route...Depends on what you want from the sled regardless of brand. They all make great sleds but the model choices among the brands is really where you need to shop. I do alot of steep hillclimbing and need to be able to pick through the trees so I went with something Narrow up front with a semi-long track. The AC Powder Special600...It has been perfect for what I do with it. It is nimble, powerfull and easy to sidehill on the really steep stuff...I could accomplish the same thing with a Highmark, or an RMK...I am not really a fan of the YAH sleds though...Sorry... If you are on mostly Flat trails then the XC is prolly a pretty good choice IMO... Have fun man.... Brad Quote
tsufilmz Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 I am with cowboybanshee buy a yami it will last you for ever and they ar set up right will beat alot of stuff. my sled is also for sale if you are still looking it is a 99 yamaha SX 600 aaen piped. you can check it out on www.TSUFilmz.com Quote
Meat_Head Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 Nice sled Mr.Giggles but Cats are meant to be green... Quote
Meat_Head Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 And to answer your question chronicwatson all the XCs are rock solid reliable sleds the only problem with the older 700cc models is their gas consumption its just horrible, man its almost like there is a hole in the gas tank.If you dont mind having a hard time hitting 90 miles with a full tank of gas then go for it but if its a problem then go for a 600cc, not that far off performance wise and you will end up spending more time on the trails than at the gas station... JARE77 Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 My buddy has a modded XC and it rocks for playing around ,drags and flat out haulin ass but for the trails its just stupid, the skis just dont like to stay planted on the ground they are always trying to reach for the sky. Just my opinion on that particular sled. I am sure you could mod one for your own particular style of riding and be happy with it. Quote
