NYCBanshee7 Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Well that all depends on what type of riding you do. Quote
applpro Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Well that all depends on what type of riding you do. 346897[/snapback] Let's see! I've ridden in the mountains of Colorado, the dunes at Little Sahara in Oklahoma, fast & slow trailriding at our local dry riverbed. Looks to me like the 'Shee covers it all! Didn't even mention MX- 'cause I don't give a shit about it! Quote
Duninshee Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 My budy has one with timming retard, cams, edlebrock carb, volocity tube w/ k&n, and he's going with either the alba pipe or the yosh titanium comp series pipe kit. The thing is FAST but not as fast as the shee. Quote
H250RHATER Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 tc racing exhaust there great low-mid-high and pipe sound bad ass too Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 i would just pull the spark arrestor and air box lid then rejet. itll run totally different. i dont have mine piped but it still hauls ass... Quote
1sreamin350 Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 I'd go with the white brothers carbon fiber, that looks great sounds great and weights pratically nothing... Good luck. Quote
Otis Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Get a color matched HMF, and a hot cam(whatever that is...hahaha) don't know if you've been to this site or not, but it may be more help to ya. YFZ central Quote
Flo Jo Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Go back to the dealer and trade it for a 'Shee... Quote
spoin39 Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 The ESR pipes are good. Duncan would be a good one too. You could aways get a set of TOOMEY'S, but then you would need to put a banshee engine in it, and it might be too fast for you! Quote
superdave Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Go with the HMF...and listen to their jetting recommendations...I am at 5000' and my yfz450 ran great with a cam mod...ehs airboox lid and a proflow with a K&N airfilter and a HMF can with quiet core and spark arrester...make sure if you do the mods....run a 48 pilot jet...trust me. also as you start to mod put a new plug in it... www.yfzcentral.com pm if you have questions good luck...D Quote
Ducman Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Most of the tapered header full systems will get you about the same max HP and Hp curve. I can say from experience that the full Yosh system or even the slip-on is LOUD as hell without the restrictor endcap. I like the LRD full system, it souds nice but is much more quiet. With a full system you want a #48 pilot, NCVQ needle 3rd or 4th clip (needle out of the YZ450F dirt bike) and a 172 main, take the airbox lid off. If you go with a slip on then use a 165 or 168 main, it will have stupid crasy low end and mid, but only a little more top than stock rejeted w/ spark arrestor removed. I have a Yosh slip on and its friggin loud. Check out YFZ central for detailed photo instructions on the exhaust cam mod, thats free if you do it yourself and good for 1-1.5 hp across the whole curve and max HP, but the HP curve is about 4 more when you get close to 10K; revs higher. (I haven't tried this yet for myself) I might have it done by the dealer the next time I have the valves adjusted. Then a rev box with a limiter closer to 11K. If you pull the stock spark arrestor then turn in the A/F screw in about 1 to 2 turns and raise the needle 1 clip, 162 main, take the air box lid off you'll be amased at the difference and the low end stumble most stock bikes have should go away. Dont try to take the stock carb off to rejet, just loosten and rotate. The pilot and main can both be changed by taking the large hex nut off the bottom of the carb. Just use a towell to soak up the fuel that spills out and shut the gas off first. You can change all three jets in under 1/2 hour if you've done it before. Quote
mat Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Dr. D slip on. Just as much power as other full systems w/out as much noise. Comes with Spark Arrestor and is reasonably priced. Quote
