Hope I'm doing this right, first time...I just bought my first Banshee, 2002, pretty stock, just set of T-5's, jetted, box opened up. I do mostly trail riding so I'm interested in some more bottom end and improved cooling. (PLEASE don't all send me stuff back saying Banshee's suck on trails and I should have bought a YFZ or something...I know!! But I've had all kinds of bikes / quads and always wanted a Banshee - couldn't wait any more!!)

Based on what I've read in past discussions here, I've already decided on a Noss head, prob with 21's. Anybody have experience with the FMF Gnarley pipes? Supposedly good for bottom end, but I can't find much info on them. I see Fatty's all over, and I have one on my RM and love it. How about the Trinity one carb set up? I've heard good and bad...and I'm not really conderned about gaining top end. (Don't really want to lose any though!) Last, who makes a good oversized radiator? Any input is greatly appreciated, tks!

my friend had gnarly's on his shee and it had awsome low end.u can change your gearing for quiker low end.single carb set up is to much of a hassle.i ride my shee in the woods alot and it is more set up for it then anything else.look around there is someone who makes a better radiator.there are lots of other mods you can do for woods riding. :D

Are you crazy??? Banshee's are great for the trails if set up right. I used to have the ultimate trail banshee. I had Eric Gorr's Woods Port that he offers. It was awesome for midrange. The best thing is, it was VERY affordable. You can get his port for a little over $200. This port job is awesome everywhere esle too.

You guys think 20cc domes on the Noss head would be pushing it on pump gas or would I need to mix in some race gas? Usually ride around 1000 feet.

I would use the 21cc domes to be on the safe side!

Yeah, unfortunatelly I guess I agree on the 21's. ALthought when I think banshee, safe isn't the first thing that comes to mind!

Guess I'll start with Noss head with 21's, and I've found some radiators for around $400 that seem to be pretty good. I still have to add on skids and bigger back tires, has 18's now which are kinda small for the trails around me.

Jury's still out on the Gnarleys, but thanks to the guy who said his buddy likes his. I hear too much negative about the 2 into one carb...that's a back burner item for now...

Grab up a 2-into 1 pipe. They make the powerband alot smoother and really help the low end. Woods port, some reeds and other little things like handguards, nerfs etc. and youll be set.

yeah, I found an article online about a test on the single exhaust from dyno-port or something like that and they liked it too.

My list of crap I want is getting longer, my girlfriend will not be impressed when stuff starts ariving in the mail. I have a comfortable couch.

i would go with a noss head with either 20 or 21 cc domes. david can tell you what fuel youll need to run with either. also why do you think you need an aftermarket radiator? once you get that coolhead on there id spend that 400 bucks on some porting. eric gorrs woods port will make your banshee a badass trail machine. also that porting works very well with stock carbs and t5s...

hi flow water pumps for around $65 on Ebay...the head..

I got 13/42 sprocket combo right now, with a lightened fly wheel shee rocks the woods..

I am able to stick it down in 1st and just mosiy around the trails with the kids and not boil over or I can grab 3 or 4th and rock the tightest twisty'est hilly'est and so forth....And still have descent topend once to sixth..

Guess I'll prob skip the radiator for now and see what it's like one summer's here. I checked out eric Gorr's web site, looks pretty good. Couple people have brought it up now. Smaller front sproket will definitally help. I have an RM 125 I had to drop down in front too to make it reasonalble to ride in the woods and it definitally helped. You guys have been very helpfull, thanks much!
