another PRM vote, trails by me are pretty rocky and I ride it like a rental. I have the .250 swing arm one, and the belly one too, either .190 or .125, don't remember...good shit tho.

Heck yes, I voted. Although I didn't care who gets in here in MA - they both suck IMO, so I kinda felt like I'm voting for the best loser. Honestly, one of the main reasons that I did vote is that we have 18 year old kids dying every day overseas protecting our country, way of life, and our right to vote. I totally disagree with having the troops over there, but it's not their choice and I feel it's just one more way to support them. I didn't have the heart not to vote...NOTHING against anyone who didn't, just my opinion...

ahhhh - you mean you're smart and are doing it the right way! Wish I did the suspension first, needed a top end and kinda just got out of control from there. Next spring will be the chassis...stock is pretty bad but once you get some mods that give a little more grunt it goes from pretty bad to dangerous. Plus my out of shape a$$ needs all the help it can get! Good luck with it :beer:

hey Liftd...yeah, another new englander. Not many on this site lol! I love my 2:1 carb, but I'm not a good guy to give you a review - I added the head, new top end and mild porting, reeds and +4 timing all at the same time as the 2:1. Needles to say, it's substantially better. Wish I added it all separately so see how each did, but I don't always have as much time as I wish so kinda gotta do it all at once or it will never get done! I only had the stockers with the pipes on it before that so not a fair comparison. I LOVE the way this thing runs on the trails now though. I still like the 4 strokes, and I can't tell ya it has 4 stroke low end, but I can tell you that when one of the people in my group gets stuck, it's seldomly me. This thing gets it done on the trails. Not that I have an expensive set up by any means, but if I was looking for bang for the buck, I'd bore the stockers to 28 and use them and pocket the $500. Don't get me wrong - love the single intake, but a couple 28's are supposed to be pretty good too. If you have $500 laying around, it really is a nice set up for the woods. I don't mind screwing with 2 carbs, but I'll tell ya 1 is really nice. I love how people say Banshees run like shit, yet when we ride I'm NEVER the broken one! My buddy and his rock solid 400 ex has to crank the shit out of that thing to start. Two kicks cold, one hot and I'm off...not sounding like lawnmower lol... I've heard nothing but good about the -1 rears for MX or trails, it's on my list for spring. Doubt I'll be out any more this year...kinda expect snow any day now. Love winter, but sure does sucks for riding.

Just ran across this thread, cool to see people interested in setting Banshee's up for trail. I was anti-Banshee for basically my entire riding life because I life in Western Mass and ride in the Berkshires. Basically, if it isn't mud - it's granite. Not Banshee territory. About 2 years ago I rode my buddys, bought one a week after and will NEVER get rid of it now. Love that quad, nothing else like it. I get a sence of satisfaction getting that beast through a trail that my friends on the all mighty 450's have trouble with. Then we hit the dirt roads and I roost the shit out of them when I blow their doors off. You can definitely set these things up for tight crappy trails. The mods in my sig work very well together. Next spring I'll dump the T-5's for some PT Mids, but other that that I love the set up. T-5's are great, but just want to try to smooth out that hit a little more. Plus, you can really do any of the mods one at a time, other that the trail port it's all simple bolt on stuff. Now I just need time to ride the friggin thing... :: I was surprised that only one guy (that I noticed anyway) mentioned suspension for a trail set up topic, those stockers are pretty bad. A descent suspension set up makes a huge difference. It can get pricey so suppose that's a good reason it's been back-burner'd lol.

That's some F'd up $hit. There are legitimately good caring people out there that would love to have a baby and can't, this chick can bread so many of them their disposable to her. Good thing her mother didn't have the same attitude. I wonder if she waited a day if she could have looked the baby in the eye as she shot it. Seems worse? Not really...murder either way. I hope to god they at least take her other kids from her. -
I second that, I have pretty much the same set up you have. Not sure what kind of porting (unless I missed it) - I just have a trail port and the 35 works great.

I've got his woods port on mine along with the other stuff in my sig, most of which I got from Jeff as well. It REALLY helped, it's a great combination for trails. I can tool around with the kids in first with no trouble, and when I'm out with the guys you can really get on it - power everywhere. Can't tell you it will keep up with the dune ported machines, but for a true trail quad, it's as much as you'll every be able to use. Can't say enough about Jeff's work and service, awesome guy to deal with and excellent work.

ya know...now that I think about it more - I might have persuaded mine a little. I believe there were casting marks (or something or other) on either the carb or adapter - really small, but enough to cause it to bind and not fit together. I either filed it or wet sanded - but a VERY small amount - don't really remove any material, just clean up the edge. Also watch for any microscopic metal filings, probably don't want them in your carb. -

Dude, that just isn't right...call them. When I got mine, it was on the web for like $469 or $479. I actually bought it through FAST Jeff, but he charged me exactly what was on Trinity's site, or maybe he charged like $10 LESS than their site - but it definitely was not more. It was the carb, intake, throttle cable, airbox adapter. Everything needed was included. Not tax / shipping, but if they told you shipping was $15, the extra $85 must be tax...which means your tax in CA is like 18 or 19% - which I doubt. Definitely call them. If there prices went up, so be it. But if it's still advertised at that price they should honor it. Good luck bro... -
I put a Trinity 2:1 on this spring with the 35pwk and love it. I ride all trails, some pits and stuff but even they're a little tight around here. I really think it depends on where and how you ride. You guys out west or in open areas may not run them much since you can really use the top end where you ride. I think a single 35 has more top that a totally stock bike, but it will not be able to compete with the top end bikes some of you guys run. I wish I could compare just the bone stock set up to the 2:1, but I added other stuff with it so it's not a fair comparison. I can tell you that it's a REALLY simple set up to tune, and now I've got a reasonable bottom end on a pretty quick trail bike that is stone reliable with basic maintenance. And when it does open up a little I've got the giddy up to still put a smile on my face. I've got the mods in my sig, FAST Jeff set me up with it all (not the pipes...but I'll prob be switching the T-5's for PT Mids at some point) and it's a great trail set up. Love it or hate it I guess, I love it.

I run the Trinity single set up with the other stuff in my sig and love it. I ride trails, pits, that kind of stuff. Nothing really wide open like those guys out west. Since I run into my fair share of mud, I still run the airbox sans lid. I had no trouble getting it all installed. And, yes, you'll lose the TORS. It's nothing but an ugly pain in the a$$ anyway, so fil that away in the circular where Yamaha should have put it in the first place. I would think the 33 would be fine if you're just going to add some pipes. Good luck with it :beer: -

Yikes, I guess that'd be quite a drive! I was thinking if you were within a day there and back, I'd take tomorrow off and go get 'em. My girlfriend and I went to Jamaica a couple years back - what a hole. Resorts are great, but one you get out of the resorts it's like a 3rd world country. Stray dogs everywhere, all pregnant and half of them only have 3 legs or no tails, whatever. Sounds funny but it still bothers me. Thanks for responding back though - if anyone else is down around you and has a little extra room, maybe they can help out. I like the part on beating them senseless and taking their dough for vet bills...they can add up. Take care bud :beer: -

Nothing pisses me off more than people that don't take care of their animals. My 2 dogs live like kings, probably better that most kids. It takes A LOT to get me fired up (and I'm only 160 lbs or so lol) but I'd beat the snot out of whoever dumped their pregnant dog off at the dump. People that mistreat their pets need a good ass kicking. How the hell could someone leave their dog and puppies in a dump. I totally understand that you're full with the 4 animals you have already, can't argue with that. Don't want you to think this is directed at you at all - you're a good guy for stepping up to take the cat you mentioned. I'm not a cat lover, but they don't deserve to be mistreated. I had to get rid of a couple of my neighbor's cats because they weren't keeping them out of my landscaping that I spend a lot of time on, so I drove them (the cats, not the neighbors) out to some farmland around here and relocated them. They didn't eat or even stay at home anyway, they just killed shit and ate it so they'll survive just fine with the 500 other cats that live out there, mainly did it to punish the douche that owned them. I admit I feel bad, but it's water under the bridge now...probably wouldn't do it again. Anyway, where are you? I'm in Western Mass, if you're anywhere close to me I'll go get the dog and pups and get them to a vet and either place them or I'll keep 'em till I find them a home. And, if you find the ass face that put them there in the first place let me know, I'll staple his f'in eyelids to his f'in forehead. -

Dude, I feel for ya, but I agree with Animanman - gotta take care of the problem but just don't land yourself if trouble over it. Cruelty to animals can be a stiff charge if you get snagged. Don't want to see you get yourself in trouble over it. I had the same problem with my neighbor's cats a few years back so I initiated the "kitty relocation program." I'm not really fond of cats, but I love all animals and don't want to hurt them - the trouble animals are just following instincts to roam. It's their owners that need to use their heads and keep their animals under control. I tried to do the right thing - spoke to my neighbors many times and asked them to keep their cats off my property. If I want cats pissing and shitting in my bushes I'll but my own freakin cat. One time I got so pissed at them I told them I was going to catch one, skin it, and stick it in their mailbox. I have 2 dogs and they are NEVER off my property unless they're leashed and with me. They have their own area at home that's all fenced off for them that's about 1/2 acre or so, so they can run around and destroy it at will. It's separate from my yard and in the back so no one can see it, so I don't care if they dig it up. Anyways, I trapped some of the cats. Once trapped, I immediately put the trap, with the cat in it, into my truck and drive them out to the middle of nowhere and let them go. They're outside cats so they'll be fine, they'll take up in some farmers barn or something. So, the offenders are now gone and my bushes are cat shit free. Just watch out, they make a nasty noise once they get trapped and someone may hear it and come looking so make sure you're around when the trap's out so you can get rid of them quick. Good luck. -
I definitely second that. Pipes will give you a great gain and really wake it up, but a decent suspension set up is VERY important to a woods set up...well, any set up really. I have the stuff in my signature, and it works awesome in the woods. It's all easy bolt on stuff too, except porting - which you can just have done next time you have the top end apart if you choose to have it done at all. I love the Toomeys, but I'll probably swap them out for some PT Mids at some point. Never tried them but from what I see they are a better pipe for my kind of riding.

I have the Trinity set up with the 35mm pwk. I think it's pretty much the same, Graydon might be longer intake...anyway, I'm at a 190 main & 52 pilot at 2 turns out on air screw. I think the needle is on the 3rd clip...can't remember, might be 4th though. I ride at around 1000 feet, airbox with no lid, minor porting, pipes and the normal bolt on's - so you might have to adjust depending on where you are and what else ya got. I'm jetted pretty close, not exact though. If I ever get a weekend without friggin rain, I'm going to dial it in a little better, but that should get you in the ball park though. Do you know what it has for jetting now?

Bike ran fine, had stock carbs & TORS hooked up. I added a single carb intake, therfore removing TORS obviously, and now I get no spark. I searched TORS removal and found a lot of info, however some people seem to say the 2 wires that used to come off the top of the carbs need to be spliced together, but most say just leave them hanging though. Would not splicing them make me have no spark? I also removed the connector that went to the thumb throttle, and I disconnected something on the main harness coming out of the CDI where the cable goes along side the air box - there's a connector there with 2 wires coming out, a yellow one and a yellow/red one. I know I disconnected it but can't for the life of me remember what it was. Anyway, it's just hanging there now... Anyway, no spark now...does any of this make sense? What the heck did I do to myself? I

I always used one in the past, it got old and I tossed it and never got another one. I liked it though, seems like my back gives out sooner without it. Or maybe I'm just a little older and fatter...anyway, thanks for the reminder, time to get another one.
