When I changed my impellar I put in a ez-drain by pro design, switched to engine ice, and put on a noss head. You may have to replace the clutch gasket. Just be careful when taking the clutch cover off and you should be good.

i replaced the bearing that the shaft rides on, not sure why, the other was still good. gonna need a new water pump gasket as well.

I recommend all the above plus the iimpellar water seal.

While looking at the back of the pump theree is a white plastic gear, remove the "c" clip holding the gear in place, slide the gear off, remove the roll pin from the impellar shaft, slide impellar out through the front.........Done

 

Don't lose the "c" clip!
