dalegoldston Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 Gonna be making a trip to Bagdad, Iraq on March 15 for about 8 weeks. Man I got a cool job.Spent last week going through CRC at Ft Benning in Georgia to prepair. I will be staying in Camp Victory. We will be doing installs of LRAS3 (long range advanced scout survalience system) onto 1114'S armored Humvees. We will be getting the soldiers out of the tin cans they drive now and putting them into some protected armored vehicles. Should save some lives in the end. Have a good spring trip to LS and dune for me. Quote

patrolman808 Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 Good luck. I was in Balad at Camp Annaconda last summer (June-Oct) armoring FMTV's, 2 1/2 ton and 5-tons. We added about 3,000 lbs of armor to them. The soldiers really appreciate it. It's crazy over there. Hot as hell 130+ and we were constantly mortar'd and hit with rockets. Take care. Quote
