trail rider Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Does it hurt anything to use a different kind of premix oil? the previous owner of my banshee allways used klotz benol ( that stuff smells really good ) but its kinda hard for me to get that kind and i've already used the bottle he gave me. I'm kinda thinking about the klotz R-50, klotz super techniplate, bel ray MC-1, or yamalube 2-R. Which one of these are the best? Quote
THEREALBUDLIGHTBANSHEE Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 NEVER HAD A PROBLEM W/YAMALUBE 2R. MOST PEOPLE I RIDE WITH RUN YAMALUBE,I'M SURE THERES BETTER PREMIX OUT THERE IF U WANT TO SPEND A WHOLE LOT MORE ! Quote
05bansh Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Bump that! All I run is yamalube. Quote
Guest nightmare Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I have always run Golden Spectro. Anybody else use it. I had a mechanic tell me to only run it cause he said it was the best. I don't know , I have not run anything else to compare it to. Quote
05Special Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 I know a few friends who run yamalube, its good sh*t, i myself use to run golden spectro in my cr500, it was 87 but she ran like a bear and never had any problems, but in my bike now i only run torco, i love it, the only bad thing is the people riding behind you will actully have burning eyes after a little while, but back to the point i only run torco and its probably the best stuff i use, my $0.02 Quote
Cannon Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 I ran klotz benoil for awile & switched to klotz super techniplate with no problems. Quote
MILO Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 yamalube 2r for me 32.1 329302[/snapback] same here Quote
rocketboy Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 i cant belive you guys like that cheap yamagarbage ,yuk ive noticed a huge improvemnet in the way my bike runs by switching to Klotz supertechnaplate and i run 40-1 ratio ,and it never dissapoints especially at rebuild time when it looks like new in my jugs. technaplate is the shizznit. it has 20% benol castor and is 80% synthetic ,R50 is pure synetic and is much thicker and best for winter riding because the castor technaplate will seperate in extreme cold temps(not good) technaplate also smells like the race track its a very sweet dry smell and doesnt" load" up or foul plugs like yamalube has done for me anyway Quote
1800bigk Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 (edited) shit, yamalube 2r is pricey compared to what I use. I run suzuki cci, its only 4.85 for a quart. I have been running it since 1995 in all my two stroke applications. 32:1. it is so underated, and it smells good too. Edited February 26, 2005 by 1800bigk Quote
quad4me Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 MOTUL Factory Line 800...mixed 40:1. So far so good! Quote
