It's your call. Is anyone sick of people whining when shit breaks because they dont know how to fix and maintain stuff?? Seriously dude who cares if you broke something. Sure we'll help you but if your breaking down its your call as to whether you want a slowhundred ex or not. These posts like this are so annoying.

ya, the bike is just as good as the person building it. i wouldnt sell it, but thats just me. if you get in over your head, theres always a shop you can take it to that would be happy to take your money. from the mods in your sig, it sounds like your bike should be really reliable, nothing serious like a big bore stroker.

Well 2 strokes aren't hard to work on, they just require the know how. Comes with time and experience. If you want a quad to throw gas in it and go that will last forever, yea get a 400ex. The banshee is just not for everyone. Like I've always said, some people like to take the convertible miata out for a weekend stroll and some like to take their classic muscle cars. Different STROKES for different folks.

you should at least let someone reputable take a look at it before you make that big of a decision, whether it's a shop or a friend. banshees are extremely reliable, and if you are having troubles like that, chances are its something simple or overlooked. maybe jetting or something easy. it'd suck for something easily fixed to cause you to lose your banshee

It's one thing to have a problem every once in a while, but if you have problems every time you go out that's not the quad, it's the person who put it together and maintains it... :shrugani: Do you do all the routine maintenance after each ride? i.e. Wiping it down, greasing your fittings, tightening loose bolts, lube/adjust your chain, etc ?

I've had mine for 2 and a half yrs and haven't had much of a problem at all with it. I don't take the best care of it, but I do the normal maintenance on somewhat of a normal schedule (whenever I get a chance to ). Mine has yet to need any serious repairs and is just now being torn apart to check it over before some much needed mods are added. Take some time, someone knowledgable, and some effort and look it over good... don't give up on it this easily. You wouldn't sell your nuts because they were suffering from blue balls just because you don't get any, or don't do regular meat beatin' would you? :shrugani:

Im not justcomplainin im just wondering if this is normal, its no joke it never run s right or somthing goes wrong, i dont have the money to keep fixin it, i got a foreman from honda to pay everymonth im lucky to even own a banshee, i run amsoil always do maintenance clean the carbs chain air filter but the thing never fails to break or run right, i had to get towed home by a 88 timberwolf and a 89 lt 230 and my banshees a 97 its rediculas, ive had it in shops ive had it ripped apart in my own gradge it never fails to cost me money.. Ill try to get pictures of how it looks now and im located in ne pa maybe one of you guys could have better luck with it

its definitely not normal -- if it was, there would not be nearly as many (if any) diehard Banshee owners. they're great machines but as other folks have mentioned... they need some time and effort put into them to get things perfect.

if your not interested in fixing it, that's fine, but if you are, or you want your machine to be square, let us know what exactly is breaking or not running right. that is extremely vague and it's hard for us to know what's going on with that little bit of info. give us some specifics and i guarantee someone here can get you going right.
