joshv5.0 Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 in the quarter mile what does a banshee run? what do they run stock and what would one like mine (mods in sig) run in the 1/4, just an idea i know noone can tell me till i go and do it, i just want an idea Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 26, 2004 Report Posted November 26, 2004 quarter mile is a long ways for a banshee. you would need some pretty tall gearing to get the best times i would think. stock banshees wont pull tall gearing so youd have to be pretty built to be pullin 17 and up front sprockets. as for times i dont know, maybe NYUK will chime in since hes into the drag racing scene. i would think most people would run the eighth with their banshees. joshv5.0 Posted November 27, 2004 Author Report Posted November 27, 2004 stock trim 15 or slower. 285375[/snapback] hey just off the top of your head what do you think i would run with the mods in my sig, its not a drag bike but i may go out to the track with my buddy when i get it put back together i may also change the front sproket when i go, what would you reccomend Quote
snowprophet1 Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 I've seen one with similar mods like yours (but without porting) pull about a 15.8 but w/mild porting you could get into the mid/high 14's. Better have a little bigger tires than stock or a little more gear than stock to run the whole 1/4 though. A 15 or 16 in the front w/22" rear tires got me there w/no problems. Quote

cb67rs1 Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 from the guys i have seen run with mods like you i would say mid 14's but you have to play with the gearing when you get out there and see what you can do, you might wanna test your launches and see if your bike will pull a 16 front Quote
